amelie flood x sam golbach
chapter fifty-eight || 🎬🤍🦢
It had been several hours since Amelie had gotten back to her apartment in LA, and now she was pacing around the sitting room while her roommates watched her slowly lose her mind. She had her hand up to her mouth and a deep rooted confused look on her face. Everytime one of her friends would try and talk, they would be cut off by Amelie mumbling something they couldn't make out. Of course they knew what had happened a few days ago in London, but they weren't aware of the conversation that had occurred after.
Finally, after what felt like hours of pacing, Amelie stopped in front of the three girls. She opened and closed her mouth like a fish a few times before the words finally spilled out.
"I think I may be, possibly, kinda, sorta—"
"Can you just spit it out?" Carmen asked, sitting back in her seat, wincing when the two girls on either side of her slapped her stomach. She doubled over and suddenly regretted opening her mouth at all.
"I think I might, kinda be dating Sam." Amelie winced, putting her hands on her cheeks.
"Did he ask you out?" Riley asked.
"Not exactly."
"Do you ask him out?"
"Not exactly."
Riley gave her a look that said, "well..."
Amelie crumbled to the floor in front of them. She lay on the cool wood and stared up at the ceiling, a frown ever so evident on her lips. When did everything get so fucking hard?
This time last year she was admiring him from the comfort of her bed while his face glowed on her television screen. It was a normal thing to look at someone on a screen and wonder what was going on in their head. However, it was not normal to know what was going on in their head only a year later.Oh, how fast time changes.
Now, a year later, Amelie would only have to look at the blond for two seconds before knowing exactly what was going on in his mind. One look into his boys eyes and suddenly she knew everything.
Amelie sat up on her elbows and looked between her three friends, "I'm deciding - right here, right now – that I am dating him."
Carmen just smirked at the girl, "I've raised her well."
"Does he know that?"
Amelie shrugged her shoulders, "He'd wanna."
After a moment of silence, and the three girls on the couch looking between each other as they wondered who was going to speak first, Riley wrapped an arm around her girlfriend before opening her mouth, "Are you gonna dye your hair back brown so you and Sam don't look like siblings and get flamed in a 'siblings or dating' post."
Amelie's jaw dropped, "Why would you put that thought in my head?!" She shouted, immediately standing up and grabbing her shoes from beside the sofa.
"Where are you going." The three girls chorused, all standing up.
"I have to dye my hair." She said matter of factly as she slipped the black and white superstars on her feet, "I can't face the siblings or dating allegations again."
"You and Cal do not even look alike." Carmen smiled at her friend as they walked out of the apartment with Riley and Rue trailing after the two, "You're, like, super sexy and he's not."
"Yeah, but he's also not ugly, Carmen. You can't even deny that - you had a crush on him in primary." Amelie reminded her, making the girl shudder at the memory. It wasn't her fault prepubescent Carmen had a crush on him. Every girl went through a phase where they liked the 'top athlete' in their class and it still was her biggest dream to be a WAG. Sue her.
"First of all, I was ten years old and that doesn't count, and second of all, why would you remind me of such dark times in my life."
Amelie rolled her eyes, "You're so dramatic."
"Me!?" She exclaimed, her voice echoing down the stairwell, "You're the one who flies across the world every time they have boy drama."
"Well that was just low, Carm."
