The past year of Amelie's life has probably been one of the best and worst she had every experienced. On one note, she was the happiest she had been since she was a teenager, but on the other there were many factors that made this year hell. Rue and Riley had moved out (twenty minutes down the road), Colby had got cancer (and survived!) and Carmen had tried to go back to the uk, but was quickly stopped by Amelie who threatened her and the next seven generations of her family.
Once a week, Carmen and Amelie would organise a night they would all go out together, whether that be out out or going for dinner like tonight.
They sat in a dimply lit restaurant as they waited for Riley and rue to show up. Usually, the two girls would always be a couple minutes late — Riley had shit time management and Rue didn't have the heart to tell her.
Amelie had her hand on the back of Sam's head, her hands tangled in his overgrown hair, while his fingers toyed with the zipper on her kneehigh black boots. They were in their own little world, like usual, as Colby and Carmen had their daily argument over nothing. Tonight it was over the fact he had his hand on the back of her chair for a split second so she began to give out to him. Sam and Amelie had learned how to block the two out - this was nothing new. They did this everyday.
Carmen shot him a nasty look before looking at her best friend lovingly, "When are you two going to hard launch. I'm getting tired of trying to keep it a secret. It's been a year. I'm over it."
Amelie laughed, "We were thinking before halloween probably."
Colbys face lit up, "Actually?" Sam nodded, "Finally."
The couple looked at each other for a moment, Sam shaking his head, knowing exactly what she was thinking. Amelie being Amelia, never let him tell her 'no' so she did it anyway, "When are you two going to give up on this 'i hate you!' 'no, i hate you!' act and just do each other?"
