"Evil! Narcissist! Spoiled bastard!"
I looked up at the sky and saw a heavy clump of clouds right on the top of my head. I closed my eyes from fear, but I could not protect my ears because the sky darkened ominously.
It started raining and I ran into the hallway. The mini-blanket has helped me a lot.
- Damn, I forgot to return it... I mumbled, - I'll give it to him tomorrow.
As soon as I crossed the threshold, my mother immediately noticed the blanket in my hands, and could not hide her interest:
- Mary!
- What?
- How are you doing, what happened at school?
- Nothing special, - I answered because I was just too tired to even say a word.
- What are you holding in your hand?
- Nothing important.
- Why are you talking to me like that? - she was annoyed by my answers.
- I don't know what you're talking about.
- Where did you get that blanket from?
- Are you interrogating me?
- No, I'm just asking.
- Good. I was sitting in the park with my new classmate, my zip tie broke and he lent me his.
- You have a new classmate? Why didn't you tell me? - she was surprised and kind of offended at the same time.
- I forgot.
- What is wrong with you?!
- NOTHING!
- Is that classmate a boy or a girl?
- Boy.
I knew immediately, she didn't like it.
- May I leave now and rest? - I asked.
She didn't say anything, so I left.
- And also, can I invite him to our New Year's party?
-It's your choice.
