Once they have arrived, music could be heard from the inside, the yellowed fox knock on the door waiting for someone to open it and let them in, The knight got curious with the interior and designs of the house just like the other houses he pass by, it wasn't like any other houses from where he came from and he was certainly interested. The doorknob slowly opens revealing rouge with a red plastic cup in her hand

"You guys made it, just in time for the little pink hedgehog to give out her speech" rouge chuckled before stepping aside and inviting them in. As they walk in the place was decorated with colorful stuff, people talking to people they know, foods displayed on the table and music blasting from the speakers, There were a few people they recognized and few they don't. Sonic immediately walk towards the table where the foods are followed by the knight behind him getting the peoples attention in the room because of his black armor

Shadow went towards an empty seat far away from the others and sat down crossing his arms already not in the mood as he glance around the room, rouge noticed his behavior, she grab a cup of the grape juice and making her way through the crowd heading towards him

"What's with the long face for?" Rouge asked the ebony hedgehog handing him the cup, he sighs and refused to accept it

"I was forced to be here that's the problem" shadow answered with his frustrated tone because of the loud music that was playing at the background, he stood up and headed towards the backdoor trying to leave

"Come on handsome, it's not like-" rouge was interrupted by the mic getting tested by the pink hedgehog grabbing all of their attention, shadow turned around raising a brow in confusion then remembered what rouge mentioned before they came in

"Hi everyone, thank you for coming to the party! Now l know everyone is wondering what is the purpose of this party with no special occasions going on, so l would like to say is that, l have a confession" Amy spoke feeling confident in herself as she scan the crowds looking for a certain hedgehog

"Hey lance! You should try these, it's chili dogs" sonic said offering a chili dog to Lancelot with a wide smile "of course my king" the knight reached out to the unusual food he was given tilting his head as he took notice of the shape and color "you don't have to call me 'my king' lance" sonic added grabbing a cup of orange juice and slowly drinks it before turning to Amy who was now walking towards him with the mic in her hands looking nervous

"Sonic the hedgehog, the fastest being in this world has ever seen, l would like to confess my feelings for you, sonic, l like you from the very beginning since l met you, the way you saved countless people from harm and the way you smile after knowing everything is gonna be alright, l admire everything about you, sonic, will you...officially go out with me?" Amy announced her love to the azure hedgehog hoping for a positive answer, sonic just stared at her, he was speechless, on all the things she could say, she confessed to him

Shadow's POV
hearing her confession was unexpectedly expected, she has been crushing on the faker for years and wouldn't let him go, l got curious on what that faker's reaction will be and what will he answer, will he agree or will he not?

I kept an unamused expression on my face waiting for him to say his response to Amy's confession and it seems the people in the room were waiting too as it got quiet and all their eyes were on the both of them

"Amy..look..l told you before and l won't repeat it again in the future... believe me l don't hate you, l appreciate how you feel about me but l just don't feel the same way as you do for me...you are my friend and nothing could change that" sonic answered sincerely, it was honestly not surprising at all since he always run away from her

"l know that sonic, can't we just at least try to make it work? I know that you don't like me no matter what l do but l'm determined to be called yours" Amy said holding unto hope but sonic stayed quiet and shook his head giving her a clear answer, l scoffed and walk out of there to the backdoor as l planned

"She just won't give up" l mumbled to myself while l walk back to my house and feeling a bit happy in the inside not knowing why once again, it's frustrating because l don't know why l feel happy that she got rejected by the faker.
