Sonic's POV
Today is the day that l'm finally out of this stupid hospital bed, l know l may be overreacting because it was only for one day but no one said it'll be fun sitting like a duck and do nothing. being in a room all day had gotten me restless and impatient, l have been craving to do my daily run just to escape from everyone's sight without any sorts of supervisions, but l was so wrong.

"Walk carefully, sire. There's no need to rush yourself" the knight warned in a concern tone while walking behind me, making sure l don't accidentally hit the ground

"I'm fine, lance. There's no need to look out for me, sides, the doctor did said l'm in good condition now" l spoke in response, giving clarification and assurance that l am clearly fine and can function perfectly on my own without anyone providing help

"As you wish, sire. If you happen to require my aid, do not hesitate to speak my name"

"Sonic! So glad that you've recovered well!" my buddy called out from a distance running towards me as he wave his hand in greeting and smiling excitedly, l smiled in return and gave him a thumbs up

"Duh, who do you think l am little buddy? I always stand back up on my own two feet when l fall to my misery" l spoke playfully and proudly, receiving a chuckle from tails and Amy from my statement, knuckles on the other hand smiled at my cocky and cool personality.

Me, lance, Amy, tails and knuckles walk our way back to our houses and it seems they were escorting me back to mine, but l didn't thought much about it since l like the company. While they were talking and laughing about no specific topics my mind drifts off to a certain hedgehog and wondered what he's doing right now

Author's POV
As sonic began daydreaming and spacing out, his yellowed fox friend noticed the azure hedgehog's behaviour and thought that he might wanted to go for a run after being discharged from the hospital, but due to the doctor's statement that he needed to rest before doing anything physical, the fox had an idea. He cleared his throat catching the azure hedgehog's attention

"Hey sonic, why don't you give Lancelot a tour in the city? I'm pretty sure Lancelot hasn't tried one of those tasty chili dogs we eat" the yellowed fox spoke, gesturing his head to the knight. "A tour? I mean, yeah, that makes sense considering lance came from a world that's not like ours. Sure!"

"Great! We'll go ahead and you two can have fun"

The blue blur nodded, thankful that his little buddy cared for him so much. He wave his hand goodbye to the others who were walking ahead leaving the knight and the hero behind, sonic turn his head to the knight giving a slight and slow nod before they also made their way to give Lancelot a tour of the city

"This here is the city park, where a lot of mobians usually hang out and had fun" sonic pointed his finger at the direction of the park and then continued to point at some of his favorite shops, the knight nodded his head in understanding as he remain quiet, keeping his ears perked up to listen carefully

Rouge the bat walked out from a clothing shop carrying paper bags that had all the clothes and dresses she brought, her face showing satisfaction and admiration. As she was about to fly off she spotted the blue hero and the knight, she raised a brow wondering what were they doing alone and decided to follow them but keeping a safe distance from them so she wouldn't get caught not noticed

'l wonder what will shadow's reaction be if he finds out about blue being alone with the other him' she thought to herself as she hid behind a building sneaking an eye of the two

"What are you doing?" The red echidna spoke out receiving a startled bat, rouge gave a glare at the echidna, not pleased by his unwelcome presence and also for giving her a scare. The red echidna raised a brow in confusion from her glare

"Have you tried chili dogs? I'll buy you some! Wait here, l know a chili dog stall that will make you say 'delicious!' in a heartbeat" the blue blur spoke out as he gestured the direction to the opposite side where the red echidna was standing, Rouge immediately grabbed knuckles wrist pulling him in

Rouge's POV
There is no way this damn echidna could keep a secret, l pulled him in where l was in between the walls of two different buildings to avoid getting spotted by blue. Our bodies were pressed up against each other letting knuckles pinned me on the wall

"H-Hey! What's with your pr-" l quickly covered his mouth using my hand to keep him quiet, but for some oddly reason l couldn't help but think about our current situation right now. As blue went to the direction of the stall, l slowly removed my hand from the echidna allowing him to speak

"What are you even doing here? Can't a man leave a lady do her business?"

"And can't a lady give two hedgehogs some space?" Knuckles responded

"That's none of your concern" l retorted, l know l shouldn't be invading blue's privacy since it's not lady like of me

"There is nothing interesting going on between them, sonic is only giving Lancelot a tour of the city" the damn echidna pointed out, l sigh in disappoinment as my fun had been ruined by something so innocent, a little drama could have spice things up for a bit

Amy's POV
I continued to walk besides tails as we made our way to his workshop, knuckles went to get himself some grapes since he said there's nothing left in his fridge back home and me and tails agreed and let him go. I have also been thinking about sonic and my confession to him on my party, l know it was so stupid of me for confessing to him on that day instead of any other day. I was so embarrassed and angry of myself

I would be lying if l said l didn't got hurt and cried about it, l understand him fully that he rejected my confession and l feel genuinely thankful he still wants me to be his friend, that's why l fell in love with that blue hedgehog

"I wonder if sonic and Lancelot are doing okay, sonic has only been discharged from the hospital and it scares me to think that he's going to do something reckless again"

Tails spoke snapping me out from my thoughts, l turn my head to him and smiled seeing his worried expression on his face thinking about sonic being stubborn and would cause trouble as usual "you know sonic, but he can be responsible sometimes and besides Lancelot is with him, what's there to worry about?"

"I guess you're right" tails returned a smile to me. Today will be the day that l'll start moving on and accept reality, there's still more out there than focusing on love and romance, this time l'll start loving myself and be thankful for everyone around me

As we arrived to tails's workshop we both stopped in our tracks seeing the familiar white hedgehog looking tired and exhausted

"Tails! Where's sonic? I need his help" he shouted in a panic
