"When l chased mephiles down l noticed a big scar on his arm, bleeding uncontrollably. I had no idea what happened and how he got it, all l know is that he escaped with the help of scourge and eggman, the moment l came back to the facility...blaze was hurt badly, l carried her to a near hospital and told the nurses there to call me when she wakes up..." the albino hedgehog explained more further with worry in his voice

the pink hedgehog's ears perked up hearing the news about her friend being injured and helpless, but it ease her worries upon hearing that she has been treated to a near hospital thanks to silver's quick thinking. She sat up from the couch and approach the albino hedgehog, she patted his shoulder to reassure him that everything will be alright

"don't worry silver, blaze will be alright and we will get mephiles back" Amy smiled warmly

silver turn his head to look over his shoulder and smiled back to the pink hedgehog's concern over his situation, he nodded and place his hand over the pink hedgehog's hand

"for now, you should rest silver. we will discuss this tomorrow with rouge and knuckles-" the blue blur stop mid sentence realizing the red echidna and the bat wasn't in tails's workshop when they left as a group earlier "wait- where is knuckles" Amy and tails glance at each other before shrugging their shoulders in response, also curious about the echidna who left to get his grapes

"shadow?" the albino spoke up and pointing his finger as he saw the dark knight behind the blue hero, sonic raise a brow before remembering silver doesn't know their own situation yet "well- you see-". After explaining the situation about how the knight came to their world, the albino hedgehog was shock and speechless like he forgot to think and speak just listening about it.

the azure hedgehog came in to his own room after saying his goodnights to everyone, he step into his room and close the door behind him, he stood there for a few moments before slowly sliding his back downward eventually sitting down on the floor, he sighs as his mind began to drift off to the ebony and wondering how he is doing

"..should call him?..text him maybe? Well, rouge told me he doesn't want to be disturbed when he's busy..." He paused before adding "chaos..l miss him.." he frowned and press his legs against his chest, he wrapped his arms around his legs and lean his forehead on his knees. After contemplating whether to check on the ebony he immediately got up, grabbed his phone deciding to chat him

'l'm just gonna say l'm bored' he thought to himself as he grin, he sat on the edge of his bed and open the messenger app, he started typing on his keyboard before pressing sent

Shadow's POV
I was doing my report paper to be delivered back to HQ first thing in the morning when suddenly l felt my phone vibrating in my pocket, l narrowed my brows in annoyance. I sigh and took out my phone to check the notifications, l raised a brow seeing who it was, sonic.

Sonic:"hey shadsss" the messages says, l rolled my eyes in irritation. Just reading this in my head l could hear his playful voice, l don't have time to deal with him right now. I put down my phone aside and continued to write down the description of my mission and how it was going, l assumed sonic must be out of the hospital now since it's has been two days

Brrr! Brrr! My phone began to vibrate again, l sigh in annoyance pinching the bridge of my nose. I grab my phone as l read the messages he sent

Sonic:"shaddddssss!"

Sonic:"l know you're reading my messagessss!!"

I really have no choice do l? I put down my pen and started typing back a response

Shadow:"what do you want faker"

Sonic:"shadsss!!! You're still alive!"

Shadow:"l thought l told rouge to informed all of you to not disturb me while l'm working, stupid"

Sonic:"c'mon l'm bored you know, l'm curious on what you're doing!"

Shadow:"this is a personal work and you had no business in it"

Sonic:"jeez can't you at least tell me what you're doing?"

Shadow:"is that even necessary?"

Sonic:"it's not that hard to tell me shads"

Shadow:"you're unbearable"

Sonic:"you're suspicious"

Shadow:"suspicious how?"

Sonic:"by not telling me what you're doing"

Shadow:"can a hedgehog not have his personal space anymore?"

Sonic:"you're hiding something"

Shadow:"l'm not hiding anything"

I sigh in frustration not understanding why this fool would be texting me just to annoy me

Shadow:"why are you texting me in the middle of the night? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?"

Sonic:"is someone worried about me~?"

Shadow:"no, tell me hedgehog"

Sonic:"like l said shads, l'm bored"

Shadow:"that doesn't excuse you to be texting me"

...it has been a minute with no reply, he must have fallen asleep, how predictable he is. I place my phone down and continued to do my report paper, after a minute or two l put aside the finish papers and was about to stand up but stop myself when l heard the vibration from my phone again

"l swear to-" l took a deep breath after almost cursing a word out loud, l pick up my phone from the table and check the messages

Sonic:"to be honest, l kind of missed you"

My eyes widen slightly from his message, what is he up to? This must be a joke like he always does. I sat down on the edge of the bed where l am assigned to stay for the next few days until my mission is over, l can't deny how my heart fluttered upon reading that message, it's like a thrilled of hope which was new and l dislike it since l knew this was Sonic's way of being an infuriating tease

Shadow:"don't play with me hedgehog"

Sonic:"no! I'm serious! I missed you"

Shadow:"a likely story, go to sleep"

Sonic:"shads, l know you don't believe me but l really do missed you!"

Shadow:"enough with your bluffing, sonic. It won't work"

Sonic's POV
I felt a bit hurt and annoyed just reading his reply, how unserious does he think l am to joke around about my feelings? Yeah l know l have joked about almost everything but that doesn't mean l'm not serious mots of the time. I pouted and narrowed my eyes staring at the screen of my phone

Sonic:"l had no intentions of playing with your feelings shads, l do missed you"

Shadow:"goodnight sonic"

Sonic:"fine, goodnight"

And with that, l put down my phone on my bedside table and pulled the edge of my blanket over my head, it already made me think why l like him in the first place when he's literally my rival and his replies were also expected. Is karma coming for me because l have rejected Amy's confession at the party? Make sense

My thoughts were all over the place once again, this sucks
