Training wasn't something Grian hadn't seen before. It was mostly how to run the cash register, how to box the food, and how to greet customers. All things he knew how to do with his past jobs, but the only different thing was the cookies. Scar wouldn't tell him what was in the cookies and said he couldn't watch him make them. That was until he could trust him, he said.
The shop did get more packed as the day went on and around lunchtime. Grian wondered how Scar could manage this place by himself for years at a time.
Around 4 o'clock there was a lack of people. Grian was happy for the rush to be over with, but he wondered, "Hey scar, I have a question."
"Yeah. What's up?" Scar asked.
"How long have you been running this place?"
Scar froze before thinking hard about it. "Almost 15 years now. Why?"
"You have run this place for over 15 years alone," Grian said in almost a shout. "You can't be that much older than me. That's not the best for your health to never take breaks from the shop."
The jingle of the doorbell alerted Grian that a new customer was entering.
"We can finish this conversion later," Scar said, almost relieved.
When Grian turned to greet the customer, he met blonde hair and familiar blue eyes. "Wait, Timmy, is that you?"
"Grian! When did you move back? I thought you and Joel were still out on your travels." The boy stated slightly confused.
"Well, I came back early. Joel and Lizzy should be coming back in about a week or two." Grian walked around the counter to hug the boy. "Well, what can I get you, Jimmy?" Grian asked, getting back to his spot behind the counter.
"I'll take an Elven Suprise and an Elven Kiss," Jimmy said.
