A heart that beats with secrets, a soul that hides its pain
A mask of happiness worn, to conceal the tears and shame
A life that seems perfect, a facade of joy and delight
But beneath the surface, a different story takes flight
The world sees only the smile, the laughter and the cheer
But behind the mask, a heart that's breaking, year by year
A cry for help, a whisper in the dark, a soul that's lost its way
A search for truth, a longing to be free from the mask's sway
I yearn to shed the disguise, to reveal my true heart's face
To embrace my vulnerabilities, and find a gentle embrace
To break free from the chains, that bind me to the lie
To live authentically, and let my true self ignite
