A calm and peaceful exterior, a facade so serene
A mask that hides the turmoil, the storm that rages within
A sea of emotions, a depth of feelings unexplored
A world of thoughts and doubts, that I've kept locked and stored
The world sees only the surface, the waves that gently play
But beneath the surface, a different story unfolds each day
A struggle to stay afloat, to keep my head above the tide
A fight to find my footing, on the shifting sands inside
I long to break the surface, to let my true self shine
To shed the mask and reveal, the depths that lie divine
To embrace my vulnerability, to let my heart be seen
To find the courage to be me, and let my true self beam
