A veil of normalcy, a disguise of calm and bright
A mask that hides the turmoil, the darkness of the night
A heart that beats with anxiety, a mind that races with fear
A soul that longs for peace, but struggles to appear
The world sees only the surface, the image I present
But beneath the façade, a different story makes its lament
A cry for help, a plea for understanding and grace
A desperate search for solace, a longing to find my place
I ache to shed the pretence, to reveal my true design
To embrace my vulnerabilities, and let my heart be mine
To break free from the shackles, that bind me to the lie
To live authentically, and let my true self ignite
