I'm a spark of hope in the darkness, a light that shines so bright
A beacon of resilience, in the depths of teenage night
I'm a ray of sunshine in the storm, a glimmer of hope in the pain
A lantern of self-discovery, that guides me through the rain
School's a flashlight of knowledge, that illuminates my way
Friends are my fellow light-bearers, who help me chase the darkness away
Social media's a shadow, that can dim my light and hide
But I'll keep shining my own light, and be my own guide
My heart beats fast, with every step into the unknown
I'm a light in the dark, a teenager finding my way back home
I'm a work in progress, with every moment a new start
And I'll keep shining my light, and lighting up my own heart.
