A veil of serenity, a mask of peaceful guise
A disguise of calmness, to hide the turbulent skies
A heart that races with worries, a mind that's lost its way
A soul that longs for solace, in a world that's gone astray
The world sees only the surface, the image I display
But beneath the façade, a different story unfolds each day
A struggle to find my footing, on the shifting sands of life
A search for a beacon of hope, to guide me through the strife
I ache to shed the pretence, to reveal my true design
To embrace my vulnerabilities, and let my heart be mine
To break free from the shackles, that bind me to the lie
To live authentically, and let my true self ignite
