"But why do you love me?" She asked, standing with her arms crossed and her mouth curved in a playful grin. His gaze fell on her, both now staring at each other. He smiled.
"Oh, I don't know." He said, then cleared his throat to mask his giggle. She stood straight, chest out and her eyebrows are now furrowed, ready to fight.
"I don't just love you. I can give you thousands of reasons why I love you. From the sound you make when you are sleeping to your mannerism, I mean, it's endless. But you're more than that. I love loving you, making you happy, and taking care of you because when I do, you give out the best giggle in the world, the sweetest kisses I need after a tiring day, the most random slaps on the arm that remind me of how much I am ready to live my life with you. Also, because you chose to stay despite it all. You chose to choose me every day even when at times I'm not deserving of your warmth, even when I'm not here, even when you're angry. I mean, I can't think of anyone now that's luckier than I am." He shrugged, smiled and winked at her, looking so proud and in love.
She relaxed her eyebrows and found herself smiling again. This, this is the man she loved and chose to keep loving. She sat beside him and whispered a thank you to the universe for giving her this moment.
