We keep talking about healing and how things are going to be okay all the time but no one seems to want to talk about the truth that it takes time to really reach that healing, that peace, that quiet. We avoid going there and as much as we can, we avoid opening up to others for the fear of being labeled as toxic. No it's not that. It's not about being negative. It's about being realistic and there is nothing wrong with acknowledging the stress, the pain, the struggle we go through in order to really surpass it all.

If you want to talk about it, talk it out. Speak your truth. Share with people you trust the most. Pour your heart out. Cry. Be weak. It's not wrong to feel all of it. What is wrong is getting used to living your day to day with lies and make believe fairy dusts and fake optimism. It sure is going to get better but before it gets better, you gotta learn to embrace the truth that we are vulnerable human beings. You gotta learn to accept that you are not always brave, not always strong, not always on top of your game. Sometimes, you break down and you rest. And when you do, rest with honesty and growing hope that you will survive this, you will stand up whole and with Jesus.

You will.
