Just a little self love will cure you
We sit around in corners, thinking how messed up we are as individuals
We quiet ourselves so much, judging the image we see in the mirror every single day
We slam our mornings with doubts, our evenings with regrets
Without even pausing for a second
To notice all those tiny, tiny goodness in who we are as a whole
The way our eyes crinkle when we laugh at something mushy
The way our lips curl when we feel a blush coming up
The way our hands tingle when we accomplish something for the day
The way our stomach giggles when we see orange and pink patches at 5 in the morning
The heat we give out to the world
The peace we contribute
The breath of new day we share
The big heart we don't bother leaving for others
We are beautiful
We are wonderful
Yet we overlook that part
For expecting too much from a bubbling water
From a blossoming flower
From a growing, learning you
So today I am telling you this
That tiny scratch on your forehead
Those bushy eyebrows
Your small height
Your wide hips
They make you who you are supposed to be
Bold
Pretty
Strong
Alive
So hold on to that
Hold on to who you are
And never, never let it go
