Chapter 27

Bri POV :

I decided to call DJ and see what he was up to we've been on good terms and working on getting back together.

I really hope DJ has changed and got his life together and want to start something new.

I picked up my phone and dialed his number I waited for him to answer and it went straight to voicemail I sat on the bed and sighed. "Maybe I'll just text him" I said to myself.

I sent him a text message.

Hey DJ hit me up when you get a chance I love you and I miss you!

After I sent him the text I threw my phone on the bed looked at the time it was 7:30 and my mom still wasn't home.I guess she's still out with that fool Joe.

My phone started vibrating I got excited I thought it was DJ calling me back but it was my mom.

"Hello?" I said annoyed.

"Hey Brianna can you do me a favor?" She said

"What is it?" I asked.

"Can you go pick Brandon up at the babysitters house I won't be back till late.I'm out with Joey" she said.

"Umm ok sure." I said.

"My car keys are on the kitchen table don't go anywhere else but to the babysitters. stop by McDonald's to get food some I left some money on the table." She told me.

"Ight ma what time will you be home?" I asked.

"I should be in no later than 12" she said.

"Ok then." I sighed rolling my eyes.

"Bye I love you" she told me.

"I love you too ma" I said hanging up the phone.

"Fuck!" I said to myself. Looking at the clock In my room. It was almost 8 so I had to get Brandon.

I looked in my closet for a jacket because it's raining outside. I went down stairs and got the keys to my moms car and pulled out the driveway and went to the babysitters house.

I pulled up at the babysitters to pick up Brandon. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

A short brown skinned girl with long hair she look like she was a teenager about 14 or 15. She answered the door.

"Hey I'm here to pick up Brandon." I said with a smile on my face.

"Okay I'll be right back."She said smiling back walking back in the house.

She came back to the door with Brandon he was holding on to her hand with A Spider-Man bookbag on his back.

"You ready to go?" I asked Brandon bending down to his height.

"Yes sissy." He said letting go of the girl's hand.

"Lets go." I said reaching out for his hand.

We went back to the car I opened the back door to put Brandon in his car seat. I got in the driver seat and headed to McDonald's. we pulled up at McDonald's parking lot.

I turned off the car got out then opened the back door and took Brandon out his car seat. We got out and walked in McDonald's we waited in the long ass line.

"What you want Brandon?" I asked.

"Happy meal happy meal!" He said jumping up and down.

I looked over and seen Brian in the line next to us.

"Wassup Brianna?" He said showing his pretty white teeth he looked fine as hell.

"Hey Brian" I said giving a fake smile looking away.

"Wassup lil man?" Brian said bending down talking to Brandon.

"Hey." Brandon said playing in is curly hair.

The line moved up and it was our turn to order "Welcome to McDonald's" the cashier said taking my order.

"Can I get a happy meal with a milk and a number 10 with honey mustard and a sweet tea please" I said to the cashier.

"Anything else for you ma'am?" she asked me.

"No that's it." I said looking in my wallet for the money.

"Your total is 6.55" she said reaching her hand out for the money.

I gave her a 10 dollar bill and I waited for her to give me my change and food. "Thank you have a nice day" she said with a smile on her face.

"Come on Brandon we will eat when we get home." I said holding on to his hand.

We walked back to the car and I noticed I left the lights on I hope the car will start. I put Brandon in his car seat then I got in and tried to start the car but it wouldn't.

"DAMMIT!" I yelled out hitting the wheel.

I got out the car and pulled up the hood and looked in the trunk to see If there was any cables but it wasn't.

I pulled down the hood got back in the car and just sat there shaking my head.

"What's wrong sis?" Brandon asked.

"The car is messed up here eat your food before it gets cold and don't waste it in mommy's car ok." I told him giving him his happy meal.

"Ok." He said taking the happy meal from my hand.

I got out the car to see if I seen anyone outside but there was no one in sight. I just paced back and forth until I heard a deep voice.

"Need some help?" I jumped when they came closer. " You scared me Brian. Yea do you have cables in your car?" I asked.

"I didn't mean to scare you I'm sorry and yea I'm going to pull my truck over here" He said.

"Ok thanks." I said giving him a weak smile damn he look good.

I waited for Brian to bring his truck where the car was.

"Let up your hood" He pointed at the car pulling out the cables then letting up his hood.

I let up the hood on the car and moved over to the side of the car. "You know what you doing right?"

He laughed. "Of course I do this all the time."

"Oh really?" I said raising one eyebrow.

"Yea my uncle is a mechanic." He said plugging up the cables to the car.

I looked at his muscles he had on a short sleeve shirt showing off his muscles. I looked at his arm he had a tattoo on his arm that had a heart and said TAMMY. I wonder who tammy is?

"Get in the car and see if it start" He told me. I got in the car and it started up.

"Thank you" I said.

"No problem don't leave no more lights on" He laughed.

"I wont smart ass" I rolled my eyes.

He laughed."Well ill see you Brianna." he said walking back to his truck.

"Bye" I waved getting in the car driving back home.

I looked at my phone still no call from DJ I knew he was up to no good...
