I decided to drive to the store. Sure, Jackson could have, but I wanted to. We stopped at the hardware store, and he goes about getting us a top of the line security system and brand new locks. Then we go to the phone store, and before I can object, he gets me and Ana brand new phones and adds them to his plan.

I'm still stunned, as we're walking back to the car. He opens the passenger door for me to hop in. "Are you hungry?" He asks, as I slide into the car.

I look up at him, surprised. Just then, my stomach growls. "It seems so." I chuckle.

He smiles and goes around the car to get in the driver's seat.

"Where are we going to eat?" I ask, putting my seatbelt on.

"Wherever you want, Love." He grins.

"Then... That burger place up the road?" I ask, shyly.

"Absolutely." He responds, reversing out of the space.

When he puts the car in 'drive' he takes my hand. It feels nice. We drive in a nice quiet, relaxed atmosphere. I get my food and we head home.

Apparently, being around for so long, you learn everything. Jackson installed the new locks and security system while I ate my food and set up my new phone.

Three days of knowing this guy and my heart was ready to burst. This definitely wasn't normal... Was it? I definitely couldn't ask Iz. She'd read too far into it. Jasper was obsessed with Oscar, so he wasn't really an option. So that left Ana, but she was still sleeping.

I sit chewing on my lip, when Jackson sits next to me. He gently pulls my lip from between my teeth with his thumb.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" He murmurs, looking me in the eyes.

"You." I answer honestly. "I don't know how to explain it. But it all feels... Natural... But also not." I ramble.

"Well, it is. And it isn't." He chuckles. "It's about a fifty-fifty mix." He explains. "Part of what pulls me to you is the Siren Call."

"Siren Call? What's that?" I ask, confused.

"It's something in your blood that calls to me constantly. It drives me to keep you safe and unharmed. It drives me to want to be with you all the time." He clasps my hands in his. "It's what drives me to do anything to please you." He adds as he kisses my hands.

"What does it mean to be a Vampire's Siren?" I probe.

He chuckles. "So most Vampires go their whole existence without a Siren. It's actually quite rare." He sits back on the couch, relaxing. "A human's blood, while nutritious, is actually quite bland. Think of say... boiled meat and vegetables with no seasoning. Sure, it would fill you up, but it's not very good. So, contrary to popular belief, we don't suck a person dry or attack nightly. Personally, I'm able to go days without. Most Vampires nowadays collect blood through blood drives, posing as charities."

I nod quietly. I'm able to follow along easily enough.

"Now, earlier, I said human blood is like a season-less stew. A Siren's blood is like..." He wipes his mouth as he had started to drool slightly. "A perfectly cooked, five course meal. With the most expensive cuts of meats, vegetables, decadent desserts, gold flakes, foie gras, caviar, all of it wrapped in a neat little bow."

"Oh wow." I murmur. "So my blood really affects you?"

"Yes, Kitten." He smiles warmly. "But, not just me. You see, to me, it's a five course meal. To another Vampire, it would be like a powerful drug, like heroin." His face sets in a hard grimace. "They would suck you dry in an attempt to get that meal."
