She was there. She realized as Kamal stopped his bike at a gate. It was the address written on the invitation card. She got off sliding up long chained strap of her purse on her shoulder. She was feeling weird.

"Kamal! I think I should head back to home. I'm too nervous." She said in trembling voice looking at the gate and then at her surroundings,  stopping her eyes at him.

"It's okay to feel that way. You're just thinking too much and burdening your brain. Don't do that. Leave behind all the useless stuff and just chill and enjoy the party. Don't do,'what if they are my family, what if they were the one hurting you, and other 'what ifs''. Keep your nerves calm because what happened has already been happened and what's going to happen will happen. So we can just face what future has for us with it." He said trying to make her calm and not to think about thse things. Then he held her from her shoulders and looking back and forth into her eyes spoke with soft smile,

"You were never this coward, girl! Hurry up and go ahead inside. I'm at nearby shop to meet my buddy, he just came back a few days ago. If something happens I'm just a call away. Okay!"

"Yeah! Thank you! Then....I'll head in!" She said signaling inside with her thumb, not sure of herself. He shook his hand in air to say 'bye' and restarted his bike.

"Hmm!" She hummed to herself and moved towards the entrance gate. She stopped for a bit then shaking her head a little she continued to take steps inside.

When she entered the villa, showing her card to the security guard at gate, he left catching up the speed.

As she entered through the gate, a lot of memories rushed into her mind, a wave of piercing pain almost blinded her. She blinked several times to clear her gaze and looked ahead. Showing her invitation card she entered inside. Kamal was gone. So the only option was to gather her courage and attend it.

Arrangements were done in the lawn at the back side of the villa. There was too much of hustle inside. Soft music playing in the background. Men were dressed up in formal attire and women wearing a lot of makeup and colorful dresses, chirping happily. There was buffet on one side filled with snacks, soft drinks and different kind of juices. People taking food to their liking and serving themselves.

She felt awkward in her simple cream colored trousers and kurta with black dupatta on her head, light pink shaded lipstick on her lips and kohl in her eyes. She gazed around to look for some familiar faces. Soon she found some of her female colleagues near the buffet tables, plates in their hands filled up with some snacks and glasses filled with cola chatting with each other.

"Hey, Sarah! Hadiya!" She called them out getting near to them and greeted in low voice.

"Oh! Nimra, you came! we thought you're gonna miss this party. You know Mr. khan is looking too handsome today!" Sarah was the first to notice her presence so she whispered, after greeting her, looking  with dreamy eyes at the attention center.

"Don't mind her! She's losing her mind while looking and admiring mr. Khan today! Though he's never been interested in any girl here. I'm curious if he's heartbroken or..... a gay?" Amina made a comment, creasing her eyebrows.

"Yah! girl hold on! He's too manly, how could he be a gay? He's just reserved and cool man! even men would fall for him." Sarah felt bad so tried to clear him.

"You two shouldn't make such comments on anyone! It's bad. let's talk about something else." She tried to change the topic. Sarah noticed that mr. Areeb Khan's eyes were fixed on their table. She chuckled shyly.

"Oh. Give a minute. I'll be back." Sarah placed her plate on the nearby table and headed to the direction of where Mr. Khan (President) was now standing alone taking small sips of pineapple juice from his glass in his right hand with a black watch. He was wearing black suit, gelled hair ok one side, one hand slipped into the pocket of his pants. He eyed her coldly. His cold and distant gaze made her shiver in fear. Her confidence went down the drain at his expressions.

"Uhh! Hello Mr. Areeb Khan! I'm Sarah Umer! I wanted to congratulate you for getting the deal." She said nervously balling her sweaty hands into fist almost digging her nails into her palms. He just averted his gaze again to the table she was at a few minutes ago and continued his previous action. All the coldness of the glacier of his eyes melted in once and all she could see was warmth.

"Umm! Wouldn't y.. you like to say somethinggg?" She stuttered clenching her dress in her hands.

"Thank you miss Sarah! By the way It was combined efforts by the team. So congratulations to you too." Someone else made the reply hurriedly joining them. It was Tabriz, smiling politely at her. She just huffed in annoyance and left nodding sternly heading back to her table where Amy spilled juice on her dress shirt.

"You can wash it inside." Amina advised her honestly.

"But... I don't know where is the restroom." She hesitated.

"Let me show you." It was Safi saying curtly keeping a straight face. Amina nodded nudging her arm with her elbow lightly and signalled her to follow him.

"I thought you knew the directions of the house. Don't you feel like Deja vu?" He asked in a weird tone as he was mocking.

"What... do you...mean?" She asked not getting meaning behind his words.

"Nothing I was joking. The first room on right side upstairs, that's free for now. You can use that." He shrugged it off smiling innocently and brightly then lead her to the staircase.

"Why there?" She was being cautious.

"Oh.. because that room is free. Others are occupied. That was my parents bedroom, beside one was uncle's and then on this side its study and that one is grandparent's room. Its closed since our grandma passed away. And... my family has shifted to another house. This villa now solely belongs to Hisham Areeb Khan." He trailed a bit while mentioning those things to her who was looking at his face trying to figure out something. Then she nodded and climbed up the stairs gracefully as he left way for her and stepped aside.

He sighed deeply scratching his eyebrows lowering his head a little, his back facing the staircase.
Maybe she could remember something when she is in that room. He had made certain arrangements for the purpose. But he was still unsure if he would be successful in his attempt or not.
