THE SCREAMS FOR WHAT IS OURS

daggers and waters,
dangerous, massive fleets,
with armed men ordered out of pure greed
and need of power and control,
all against humble fishing boats
with men of burning nationalism
and want for freedom,
against armed, uniform men,
my people only wore clothes to protect themselves from the heat of the sun,
humble fishermen,
humble men,
filled with burning, fiery passion
to protect what is ours,

let them know,
let the world know,
this is ours—
the waters, the land,
the entirety of the West Philippine Sea,

it belongs to no one but my Filipino people,

Atin Ito,
Atin Ang West Philippine Sea.

(It is Ours,
The West Philippine Sea is Ours).
