Beach

The beach, one of the most beautiful places in the world. The sea breeze, the ocean view, the waves crashing with the soft sand, the setting sun shining light on the water.

For this particular couple, the beach was the best place in the world to spend time with each other. But not any public Ninjago City beaches swarming with people, they preferred peaceful, private beaches that no one even knew about.

Jay had proposed to Nya a few weeks after they had returned from their island resort where he had regained his powers with the help of his younger brother Unagami.

Nya of course said 'yes' and their love was soon made official in the courtyard of their rebuilt monastery.

They spent a few weeks after the wedding just spending time with each other, tinkering, fixing the Bounty, going on dates, but now were on their extremely long-awaited two month long honeymoon which Kai had claimed to be absolutely ridiculous.

It wasn't exactly a honeymoon however, more like an after-wedding vacation. They had already spent five days of their time together and to their shock and confusion, they hadn't argued about a single thing.

Jay had called it the magic of marriage and Nya quite liked the sound of it.

They had decided to take the Destiny's Bounty and leave, sailing and flying across the vast ocean surrounding the island of Ninjago.

They had now landed on a small island in the middle of nowhere and were relaxing on the beach, staring at the setting sun in amazement.

Well, Nya was. Jay was currently inside the Bounty, getting something from the kitchen.

She was wearing a set of dark blue, water themed bikini, and he had on a pair of blue swimming trunks and a lightning themed summer shirt which he wore open.

Nya leaned back on the beach towel and moaned in delight, letting the sun caress her soft skin, but was soon snapped out of her trance by her husband, who tapped her on the shoulder.

He chuckled and sat down next to her, leaving no space between them. He was holding a pair of dark brown glass bottles and had that annoying smug smirk on his face that Nya absolutely loved.

"Can I interest you in taking an ice cold beer straight from the cooler?" Jay asked, offering the already opened bottle to her.

"Of course," She replied, taking the bottle from him, immediately taking a sip. "But remember that you're not flying drunk so we need to stay here for the night."

"Yeah, yeah," He chuckled, taking a sip as well. "And by the way, have I told you that I'm the luckiest and happiest guy in the world?" He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"About 563 times by now," She laughed in response. "But I agree. I waited for your proposal for sooooooooo long that I almost started believing you didn't even want to get married."

"Nah, I was just waiting for the right time, you know?" He asked, caressing her back carefully. "A woman like you deserves the best kind of proposal. Not some cliché restaurant proposal."

"I would've liked that too," She said, looking deep into his different colored eyes. "Because it would've been from you and I would finally be able to stop anticipating!" She lightly punched him on the arm.

"Ow!" He winced in pain. "Hitting me means divorce! How are we going to tell the kids about this? They're so young and they need to experience their parents's divorce this early!" He joked.

Nya stared at him with her mouth open for a while, not understanding what he was blabbering about, but eventually bursted out in laughter and buried her face in his chest.
