Till the Merge Does Us Apart

There they were, lying in their bedroom with no worry in the world. The rest of the ninja team was hanging out in the living room, but the young married couple had decided to pass on that for now.

They wanted to spend some time together since it was rare with all of their missions going on. But luckily after the ninja had defeated the Crystal King, his Crystal Council, and Bone King and his Bone Warriors, it had been fairly quiet.

Nothing had really happened other than Mechanic once in a while starting a rebellion in the Kryptarium, freeing himself along with some other prisoners like Pythor, Chen, and Samukai, but the ninja had always arrived before they had even stepped a foot out of the prison.

Their team was stronger than ever even after the losses they had endured. Instead of slowing them down, the losses had just made them stronger and better.

The young couple was currently watching funny videos from Ninstagram on Nya's phone. They had laughed a lot and their stomachs were starting to hurt.

After their two month long honeymoon, their bond had just grown stronger and stronger. They had been totally inseparable, but neither of them was complaining.

Even though they were both happy with each other, one thing was troubling them. Neither of them knew the other one was thinking of the same subject, and it was a possible new family member.

Yes. Jay had immediately after the wedding begun stressing about a new addition to their little family while Nya had just a few weeks ago gotten the biggest baby fever she's ever had.

They were both too scared to tell each other, so they had decided to wait until it was out of their minds, but it wasn't working. They wanted to get away.

Nya continued scrolling in the app on her phone, soon coming across a funny meme of Kai and Cole. It was a picture taken of the two fighting against the Serpentine over a decade ago. They had both tripped on the curb of the streets of Ninjago City and the Serpentine were kicking them.

"Oh, damn! Haven't seen that one in a while," Jay laughed loudly. "Save that pic. We gotta show that to Cole and Kai."

"I know!" Nya agreed, laughing as loud. She quickly saved the meme into her gallery and continued scrolling, soon coming across a meme of Jay and Zane.

In this one, the pair were fighting against the Pyro Vipers. Jay was running around with his butt on fire and Zane was trying to put it down with his Ice powers while the fire snakes were laughing at them.

Jay's face immediately turned as red as Kai's gi and he grabbed the phone from his wife. "Uhm... Let's see if we can find some more," he said nervously, trying to continue scrolling, but Nya snatched her phone back.

She shook her head and laughed, saving the meme of her husband as well, earning a groan from him. "You're so cute in this," she said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Oh, shut up..." he groaned back, shaking his head in anger, but he soon smiled as well.

They continued scrolling, but Jay was kind of out of it. He wasn't even focusing on the phone while Nya was laughing her head off at a meme of Lloyd as a kid, crying in the Jamanakai Village when the ninja had hanged him up from the roof.

Nya tried getting her husband's attention, but he wasn't looking. He just looked into nothingness, clearly in deep thought.

She groaned angrily and tossed her phone aside. She climbed on top of him and looked deep into his eyes, but when it didn't work either, she began planting kisses all over his face, eventually snapping him back to reality.
