Paige's Backstory: The 80s Origins

First Friday of School

Friday September 5, 1980
Today is the first Friday and the 3rd day of school. Merry and Ruby are wearing different clothes to go to Laguna Creek High School. At school, the freshman class officers are placing the banners of the Marlin cheerleading tryouts and Merry would like to try without Ruby. During the 2nd period in Merry's AP Biology classroom, her name was called on the speaker with the girls who are going to tryout cheerleading for fall sports. Merry will not be in her 3rd period due to the tryouts. Before the tryouts starts, two black freshmen named Nicole Francis and Daniela Otto are the class judges to the girls on each team. Meridian is in the 3rd team with the girls and she tried her best when she dances with them. Daniela had gave her a 10 and now Merry would be a part of cheerleading. After the 3rd period ends, Nicole asks Merry if she could hang out in a roller rink after school with Ruby and Daniela. Merry would state that her sister might be bullied by Nicole and Daniela. "Don't worry Merry, we'll have some fun with her!" said Daniela when she will not bully Ruby again.

After school, Meridian told Ruby that they're going to the roller rink called Space-Skate at 3PM. Ruby had worn the disco top and earrings and her bell bottom jeans. Meridian looks more beautiful than Ruby, the car had came when Nicole's mom had because Space-Skate was 6 blocks away from Nicole's house. The girls went in the car and Ruby was worried to introduce herself to Nicole and her mother.

When Nicole's mom stops to Space-Skate, she reminds her when she'll walk home after skating at 6PM. The trio went in and got the rental skates. Daniela had just came and got her shoes, Nicole's attire has a homage to the disco fashion in this decade when Daniela, Ruby and Meridian were dressed compared to her. On the rink, they started skating when Ruby and Merry hold hands like Daniela and Nicole, like 2 groups of holding hands. On that terrible time, Cassandra came with her friends named Adan Mueller, Nevaeh Wilder, Lexie Richardson and Audrina Combs, the same freshmen year in 1980. They saw Ruby hanging out with Meridian and 2 other students. During their break at the snack area, Cassandra skates up to Meridian when she tries to find Ruby. "Nice to meet you that Merry is Nicole's friend." said Daniela when Ruby is friendless as Cassandra asked very girly to Ruby "Come on friend, let's go skate shall we?" Cassandra had yanked Ruby to the roller rink with Daniela, Nicole and her friends but about Meridian, who was terrified when she remembered Cassandra.

"Whee! Why are you so nervous? We're just having fun!" Said Cassandra when she holds Ruby to the rink while many people are skating. At the middle of the rink, Cassandra told her to stay put and she'll not move before something happens. A male teenager threw the adult DJ out of the song booth and announced everyone on the microphone. "Alright everyone, this next song was dedicated to Ruby, the local snitch." Said the teen and the spotlight was on Ruby and he changes a song that humiliates Ruby. Audrina was the first person to bully Ruby while she is skating and the other girls with Daniela and Nicole are circling around her, yelling and sticking their single hand at Ruby. Adan had filmed Ruby as she trips and yelps on the floor. Those twin sisters Cassandra and Sarah Wilson taunts at her but Cassandra is not duplicate as the Mendoza. Cassandra and a gang of girls start to make a ring while skating with Daniela and Nicole. Meridian went to the DJ booth and she told him to turn off the song but it's too loud. Ruby was shedding tears a lot since the girls are humiliating her and Nicole had laughed at her. The girls were spinning too fast and the music was distorted as he stops the music. A male teen came through and threw the soda at Ruby's clothes as she fell. Everyone laughed at her and even Cassandra's friend Lexie Richardson had a loud laughter. Meridian feels bad for Nicole, Daniela when they bully Ruby in front of the crowd. Cassandra skates around to Ruby while shy is lying down and she said "No drinks on the rink!" when she laughs and walks away. Meridian starts to look for her sister and Ruby had ran away to the bathroom floor while everyone is still laughing at her.

After Skating
Adan, Cassandra and their friends except Daniela and Nicole watched the video they took of Ruby getting bullied by Cassandra's newly clique. Ruby came out of the bathroom and called out Cassandra's name. "You ruined my day!" Said Ruby and Cassandra asked that they embarrassed you in front of Meridian and she confronted Ruby.

At home, Ruby would realize that there will be no school for tomorrow. She had a nasty mind and remembered that she was bullied by the teen girls in their freshman year.
