Paige's Backstory: The 80s Origins

2nd Week of September 1980

September 8, 1980
Ruby and Meridian's schedules are different because Ruby doesn't have Algebra and AP Human Geography, the same AP course as Meridian. Ruby has a hidden letter inside her biology book and she went to the main office as she said "special delivery!" to Mrs. Langley as she left the office. During Ruby's class, the principal would like to call the girls to the Mrs. Morrow's AP class, the only girls who had humiliated Ruby at Space-Skate. Nicole, Daniela, Cassandra and her clique from their different classes had went to the classroom with the AP Human Geo teacher Mrs. Morrow. She calls out everyone's name such as the other girls named Marisa Aguirre, Grace Cole, Tiana Gamble and Evie Jones. As the girls lined up beside the door, Mrs. Morrow rants every girl that they did a really embarrassing thing last week and her idea for that trick they pulled may be suspended for 3 days and the refusal of their pep rally coming up in October, they will have a detention for 1 week. Cassandra had refused to comply and Mrs. Morrow threatens that if someone skips the week of detention, they'll be barred from reacting to the pep rally.

After the girls went out of the classroom, Mrs. Morrow told the freshmen that they'll have some essays about Human Geography in the entire week's detention. Cassandra will not come to her classroom due to the bad behavior.

September 9, 1980
The next day at school, the following 12 detention girls went to Mrs. Morrow's AP Human Geo classroom but she stated that it'll be 50 minutes long, everyday, starting on Tuesday in here, it's just 1 period until Ruby and Meridian work in their 3rd period. She said that they'll start writing an essay about geographies and the process of communications. When the timer starts for 50 minutes, the girls are writing essays by theirselves and Cassandra was struggling to participate as she swore "Damn it, THIS IS HARD!" when she raised her voice in front of everyone and Mrs. Morrow had slapped Cassandra on the face real hard. Cassandra became disrespectful as she was suspended from Laguna Creek High School and kicks the door leaving with her bursting tears. Cassandra's mom Georgia had came to the school and saw her daughter sitting on the stairs crying. Georgia and Cassandra went to the main office and she talks to the principal Mrs. Langley about what happened to Cassandra staying in Mrs. Morrow's room for detention and she said "Mrs. Morrow said that she was suspended for 3 days and she won't be going to the pep rally due to her refusing to participate in her classroom." Georgia had thanked her for letting Cassandra know that she wouldn't be in school for 3 days until she comes back on September 15.

September 10, 1980
During lunch period, Meridian asked Ruby if there is a new album this year and Ruby said "maybe, it might be called Never for Ever by Kate Bush" Meridian would wish that she could buy the disc or a cassette player at the music store after school. Ruby likes to eat hamburgers and cheeseburgers from collecting them from the lunch entrance. Ruby said that she would steal Ezra's money from her purse after school to buy some CDs.

After school, she stole money and they went out to the music store to find the album that was released by Kate Bush. Meridian found the new album called "Never for Ever" and Ruby might have to pick the album that's best for her since one of them are released last year or few months ago in this year. The went up to the cashier and bought 2 CDs of albums that are new this year and she places them in the bags.

At home, they went to Ruby's room to see if it works with a CD and now the record starts playing and it became one of Ruby and Meridian's new favorite albums of this year. After minutes, Ruby told her sister that she had a plan for next week Monday that she'll have her revenge on her bullies such as Ruby putting hidden papers inside their lockers, put mint gum in someone's hair and a solo assault on one person. Meridian said "Try using a sharpie to insult Cassandra's locker so she could read it or anyone could!" and Ruby might have to do it tomorrow before class starts and the staff won't caught her insulting Cassandra. Meridian has a Sharpie in her tote bag so she could give it to Ruby.
