October 31, 1980
Today is Ruby and Meridian's 1st year of experiencing Halloween at Laguna Creek High School. Meridian has a costume and she became Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo and while Ruby is dressed up as Daphne Blake, just like her last name. At the school, a few senior students have their cameras but dressed up as mummies and zombies, typically the zombie species has the same costume. A female senior asked Ruby and Meridian to take a picture of them so they can be in the yearbook. When Meridian went to check her locker, Daniela was a brain-rot vampire, her skin was filled white and Nicole in Michael Myres costume from Halloween had criticized that Meridian looks like a geek while wearing her Velma costume. Every class, the teacher saw their students having their costume show-offs when they arrived from the doors.
After school, Ruby and Meridian decided to start trick-or-treating at night so they invited Daniela and Nicole to their house to start trick-or-treating. Nico, the only boy again from high school is taking part of trick-or-treating. Ruby and Meridian had stopped many houses and received candy but Ruby got a few tricks from people or teenagers from the same school. At the maintenance house of Nevaeh's, Meridian had pranked Nicole with a sweet-filled pie on her costume shirt. Meridian ran away after pranking her with Ruby when they're called "Velma and Daphne". Ruby almost got a frostbite because of the cold weather in the fall season. At home, Ruby was getting warm by her own blanket that is from her room and Meridian knows that November will start on the weekend.
