ItI did my chores then grabbed my shower bag and went in. Jackie was complaining about the shower schedule "downstairs bathroom should be free" Jordan said I sighed and went to the living room and waited for one of the showers "what the hell" I herd from the bathroom. Oh shit the boys are up to something aren't they. "Issac Go get catherine" Jackie asked "no can do, see thares a bet you would rather skip school then go with bleached hair" Jordan recorded as Jackie ran up to her room freaking out "Jordan you know, you just recorded evidence right" I told the boy going into the bathroom. "It's fine no one will snitch anyway" he said before going to his room.

I washed my hair and body with my favorite soaps, I got out of the shower  and blow dried my hair did my skincare and makeup and got dressed.

I grabbed a protein shake and a quick breakfast the boys left me and Jackie here I drove us to school she was wearing one of Georges Carhartt hats

I went into my first period class it was history

I don't really have friends at school everyone kinda ignores me I guess not pretty enough to be popular.

everyone was already with thare friends "lex" Jackie waved me over I ate lunch with Alex  and Jackie's other  friends.

The end of the day. I got in the truck to wait for  Jackie but soon enough a text from the girl her self read " im hanging back" i sighed and Alex banged on the passenger door  "drive me?" I nodded.  Alex hung out with me in the loft we read books  and listened to Taylor Swift. He finished his book and I was still reading mine.

He snatched my book and held it above me I tried to grab it but he kept moving he played this game for a few seconds our face was inches apart before I grabbed the book and laughed. I herd Georges faint call for dinner and we jumped off of the loft and went in for dinner Jackie and Cole went thare though Catherine asked about the prank that took place this morning.

About half way through dinner cole and Jackie came home

"Is thare anything left" Cole starts "cause I am starving" I roll my eyes at the simpleminded boy. Dose he even under stand how disrespectful he was acting towards his family? Lately he has been acting like he was raised in the city, not even... Jackie had been raised in the city and she was way more respectful.

"Hey you know your supposed to call if your running late right" George asked the rhetorical question "I mean that's the whole reason you have the phone"

"Whare have you guys been" Katherine asks "yeah. we uh, went to the watering hole, lost track of time" Cole replied eating a piece of chicken

"Listen i-" "Jackie,Excuse me. Hey Cole do you know anything about a bet with Isaac this morning" Jackies eyes quickly dart to Cole "no.no doesn't ring a bell" he lied through a mouthful of food "lier" I cough  earning a look from Katherine and Cole,in  Katherines direction I mouthed "sorry" and I didn't look at cole
"Seriously Cole" Catherine looked at him displeased "it was a joke ok" his words make Jackie sharply inhale.

"maybe ask Jordan what he's got on camera" "Lexi!" Jordan shouted"what the hell" Isaac spat  "dude seriously" lee asked annoyed "you just had to bring me into it" I rolled my eyes and took a sip from my glass.

"Jackie i don't even know what to say, I'm so sor- I have to fix my hair " Jackie interrupted "can I at least help" Katherine asked concerned "no, thank you" she sassly said walking away

"You guys are fucking idiots, you do know what she has gone through. right?
Katherine, George excuse me but I can't sit here with simpleminded assholes who hurt my friend because of a joke" I said standing to turn away Katherine nodded "yea run away like you always do" cole spoke spite dripped from his tongue"Cole" George warned

  "Excuse me? Want to elaborate cole Walter " I asked my hand on my hip I stepped closer and he stood up "sure Alexa Taylor Morgan. You run away from everything and everyone. Us,even  your real family. You had aunts and uncles but you came here? To silver falls why? Because you wanted to run away and then when things got complicated here you left" he replied Katherine looked at George "what is he talking about" Katherine asked

"Fuck you" I spat at Cole "you call us simpleminded. Maybe get off your high horse Lexi. Maybe then you would have friends" .

I didn't know what was happening till it happened I had just punched Cole Walter in the face and he was laughing? "LEXI" Katherine scolded "i- I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me" I spoke before running out of the house.

Cole Walter

"I - I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me" her voice cracking as she spoke  before she ran out "Lexi wai-" I was soon cut off by the door slamming shut my mom looked pissed "well that was deserved" Alex spat before we hurd the rumble of lexis engine I left the house and went to my truck fallowing her. She pulled onto the highway and through the mirror I could see her crying.

I'm so dumb why would I say that. I fucked everything thing up.

Her truck turned into a familiar field she parked and got out as she walked over to whare just a few hours ago I was with Jackie.

The Morgan girl was sitting pacing on the rocks as I walked over to her area "Lexi I'm sorry. I didn't mean it" "but you were right. I do run away from everything. I should have stayed last year I know but I didn't I ran." Her voice was sad and almost quiet braking as she said the last part

"Lexi just come home" I said it almost pleading. "I can't Cole not after last year I thought I could come back and things would be normal, we would be normal but... I can't forget last summer Cole I can't it plays in my head on repeat. I thought our movie night the other day meant we were back to normal but it clearly didn't " She cried.

If I didn't fuck up today or last summer everything would be fine. "I'm sorry Cole" she whispered "I meant what happened last summer Lexi. Just come home and we can talk about this"

"I can't I punched you and i-" "I don't care Lexi I just want you.. home" I cleared my throat "I just want you home ... Come home" I clarified she sniffled before she nodded I opened my arms for a hug

I felt her head against my chest and all I wanted to do was hold her and tell her I loved her. But I can't. I kissed the top of her head. She pulled away the moon light on her face  "thank you" she smiled sadly "lets go home" she nodded in agreement

It's not exactly a slowburn but it's also not going to all happen in the first 3 chapters
Also sorry for taking so long to publish I'm rewatching Riverdale and I'm in love with sweet pea maybe I'll right a book anyway I'm working on another chapter of this book
