1 YEAR LATERKNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! Aubrey groaned as she rolled over on her side. "Come on, kid! I made breakfast!"
"I'm up!" She yelled back, slightly annoyed, knowing she had to get ready for the day when it feels like she just fell asleep.
She pulled herself up and out of bed, marching over to her desk-vanity situation. She sat down and brushed through her curly, ginger hair. She dyed it a few months back, it felt like her.
She did her makeup then figured out what to wear. She decided on her Levi's jeans and a long sleeved white top, with a plaid jacket layered over it. She sat on her bed and put on her socks and signature red Converse. They were significantly more worn out than they were a year ago at this time.
She looked at herself in her body length mirror one last time, making sure her bangs were just right. Then she grabbed her book-bag and exited her room.
"There she is." he said, sat at the kitchen table.
"Good morning." The little girl said softly across from him.
Aubrey smiled, "Good morning." She walked to the dining table, ruffling her hand through Eleven's curls before sitting beside her, across from her father, Jim Hopper.
"Eggo's again? El, you're gonna turn into one of those at this point." she told her, beginning to dig into her eggs.
"I think she'd be just fine with that." Hopper joked, buttering a slice of toast.
El looked up and smiled at the two, before scoffing down her waffle.
