JUNE 28, 1985Aubrey and Steve sat in her bed, making out. A clammer of yelling outside her door had her on high alert, but she managed to ignore it and proceeded to run her hands through Steve's hair.
"Aubrey!" Hopper then yelled, banging on her door.
Steve and Aubrey pulled away, eyes wide. "Closet, now!" she whispered to him. He quickly shoved himself inside her closet as she fixed her bedding, sitting back down and opening a book as if he was never even there.
"Yeah?" she yelled back to Hopper then.
Hopper opened her door, "This has gotta end, I cannot take it anymore..." he began to rant to her about Mike and Eleven. This was a daily occurrence that Aubrey would have to talk him down from nearly every night.
"What's going on?" He stopped his rant and asked her then.
Her heart sunk, "What do you mean?" she played cool.
"You're being weird." he replied.
"No, I'm not." she replied, her heart was beating so fast she thought it would explode. Then a clatter came from her closet, both of them shooting their heads towards the noise. Damnit, Steve.
"What was that?" Hopper asked, suspiciously.
"I don't know!" Aubrey replied, anxiously.
He began to step towards her closet, "Dad, no!" she stood up, trying to stop him as he pulled the doors open to Steve. Steve Harrington was hiding in his daughter's closet.
"Oh my god! Steve?! How did you get there?!" Aubrey tried to play it off.
"No, no, no, no!" Hopper freaked out.
Steve panicked, "Hopper, I am so-"
"Not you too, Aubrey!" Hopper looked at his daughter disappointed, "Get out!" he turned back to Steve.
"Oh my god, dad! Stop it!"
"Get out!" he yelled even louder.
"I'm out! I'm out!" Steve held his hands up, heading towards Aubrey's bedroom door.
"No!" Hopper grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, "You leave the way you came." he pointed to the window.
Steve sighed, "Night Aubrey." he mumbled as he climbed back out her window, nearly tripping and falling.
Hopper squeezed the bridge of his nose then
went and slammed her window shut, "Are you kidding me?!""I'm sorry!" Aubrey yelled, "Was that all really necessary?!"
"Oh." Hopper laughed manically, "I could have been way worse."
Aubrey shook her head, "I'm truly sorry."
"Since when- how? Steve?" Hopper cringed.
"He's just a friend!" she crossed her arms, obviously lying through her teeth.
"Give me a break!" he yelled.
