Taylor decided she wanted to go out with me – and I do not mean it that way. So, I ultimately decided to take her to my family's diner. At least it was a familiar and safe place to deal with this mujer loca. Truth be told, I wasn't looking forward to more of her shenanigans and possibly insane ideas or her complete and utter nonsense she sometimes spats. Now, we were here, and my nerves were frayed. I was questioning why Taylor had pushed Bree to the brink at the bakery.
"Dios mío... What the fuck was that?" I asked angrily, seething.
"What was what?" Taylor responded innocently.
I truly hated- hated when people acted this way—always have. It stemmed from a woman in my unit who always got away with the shit she pulled. It was because she didn't look like the sort of person who would jam someone's rifle when they didn't get the answer they were hoping for. Just remembering that specific memory was pulling me back into a time I didn't want to think about...
Needless to say, Taylor knew exactly what she was doing, and she was not innocent.
I banged my head against the table, not caring for a moment about the people around us, we were sitting at and wondered why this was happening.
Why me? What had I done to deserve this fate? This is all just too- too fucking much for me to handle... I don't know what to do anymore or if I should even try to talk to this woman who gives a bad taste in my mouth.
"¿Por qué estoy atascado con esta amenaza rubia?" I mumbled as I rubbed my temples.
(Why am I stuck with this blonde menace?)
I had hoped doing that action would ease the lingering ache that was forming in my head, but... it didn't.
Not only that but Taylor's following words irritated me yet again.
I could feel the vein in my forehead starting to throb painfully.
"I have no idea what you said, but I'm going assume it was something rude." Taylor said with a tone that told me she believed what she was saying.
I rolled my eyes.
And I didn't even care if she noticed.
"It was." I confirmed without a care in the world.
"Oh, come off it, Olivia! Bree deserved what I gave her! You can't sit there and honestly tell me she didn't. She sat there and glared at us the entire time!" Taylor whined, and the way she spoke grated my nerves further.
"And I handled it." I said with narrowed eyes.
"Handled it? How did you handle it?" Taylor asked while her chin was in her hands.
The manner in which she leaned forward with her eyes looking directly into mine, I could clearly see the curiosity swirling around in them.
It was evident my words had piqued her interest.
Taylor was now more interested in the conversation than she had been before.
"I talked to her afterward." I said vaguely, not wanting to say anymore than that, let alone remember the tone I had used.
I was so angry, and I completely lashed out at my best friend, and... I know Bree deserved what I had said, especially with how she was acting throughout our time at the bakery and what she had said to me, but... it doesn't take the sting of the situation away.
"What did you say?" Taylor pressed, scooting a little closer to me, which I didn't want, but I wasn't going to say anything.
I had no patience left.
