Chapter 3

Jay's POV

After I ate breakfast, I immediately grabbed my bag with me to go to school.

"You're going to school already?", my dad suddenly asked as I stopped.
"Uhhh... yeah?", I said in a confused tone.
"Alright! Take care of yourself..", he told me in a stern and emotionless voice.
"Y—You too dad...", I said as I got out of the house.

After I got out of our house, I immediately hopped in inside my car and buckled my seatbelt. Why does he need to care about me when all he did was nothing but treat me brutally?! I angrily thought to myself as the thought of staying at the condo unit that my aunt bought for me as a birthday gift came into my mind. Since he's gone, guess I'll be staying at my condo unit for a while. I thought to myself with a satisfied smile. Dad doesn't even know that auntie bought me a condo unit, so I'll just stay there while he's gone! A few minutes later, I finally arrived at the school. After parking the car, I immediately met up with in the hallway.

"Where's Heeseung hyung and Sunghoon?", I asked him.
"They're in their classroom already. Come on! Let's go before we get late!", he told me.

Jake and I immediately went inside as we both took a seat in our chairs, which will later on be taken by someone else, since we will be arranged with new seatmates for the school year.

"Anxious much?", Jake asked me.
"Not really. I'm fine with anyone who becomes my seatmate.", I told him when our Professor suddenly came in and we all looked at her anxiously.
"Okay everyone, today I will be arranging you with new seating arrangements, along with your new seatmates, so whoever will be beside you will be your seatmate for the entire year.", the Professor said as I suddenly heard everyone, having mixed reactions.

I don't even care who will be my seatmate, as long as we'll work together when it comes to requirements and other school stuff. I thought to myself as I just continued to act chill regarding the new seating arrangements.

"Don't worry bro! We're still buddies even if we're in different seats!", Jake told me.
"I know, dummy! It doesn't matter who becomes my seatmate anyway..", I said.
"Okay everyone, I will now flash the list of the new seating arrangement on the screen, and when you see your name, sit beside your new seatmate immediately.", the Professor told us.

The moment the picture was flashed on screen, I heard everyone, having mixed reactions of their new seating arrangements, but as my eyes diverted to my name, a smirk immediately formed from the corner of my lips as I realized that I'll be seatmates with Jieun. Great! Now time to make your move, Park Jay! I thought to myself as I looked at Jieun with a smirk, while she couldn't help but roll her eyes in frustration.

"Ok everyone! It's time to move to your new seating arrangements! Come now! Double time!", our Professor told us as I immediately stood up and moved away from my seat.
"Now's the chance to make your move, dude!", Jake told me as he gave me a pat on the shoulder, and then, I finally sat beside Jieun.
"Hey there! You're going to be my seatmate for the entire year!", I told Jieun with a smirk.
"Yeah, I know! How exciting, because I'm partnered with a jerk the entire year!", she said in full sarcasm as she rolled her eyes.

You may be mad at me for now but in the end, I'll make sure that you'll fall for me too! I thought to myself. I may have done a lot of things to her but I'll make sure to use this opportunity to apologize to her.
