Laying under the long blanket furs, were a man and a woman that tried to take in the only time they had with one another for such day. They both layed together, Aelxys on his back sitting against the headboard, while he held Rhaenyra against his chest; as she played with the necklace that hung well against him. The couple were cuddled against each other, enjoying the warmth that spread around them.
In the quiet space of their marital chambers, they knew that their quiet time was short, as their twin sons were expected to wake soon.
Laying in their cradles that were lined at the end of the bed, their sons; Cassian and Jacaerys. Hassan and Nyke were asleep, guarding the two cradles, great protectors they were for the babes. Sound asleep the twins were, after their births Rhaenyra had placed a dragon eggs in their craddles. One from Syrax, and the other well...It was a gift from the ancient one of the new seas.
Jacaerys' dragon egg, green similar to the old she-dragon, Vhagar. The green was a sign that no doubt, the dragon would come to have a temper as it grew from its youngling age. Cassian's dragon egg, after the birth of his and his twin brother, it was followed by an enraged storm. The powerful growls and shrieks coming from the depths of the new seas. The clouds were dark as the storms raged along with its powerful roar, while all had seen it as a omen of great power and future. The egg was nestled and given by the sea dragon herself, Nagini.
A sign that good fortune was given to the twins from the gods.
Now, the wedded couple held each other closer knowing that their sons were due to wake any minute now. As much as they deeply love and adore their children, they certainly miss the privilege to wake after the sun fully rose.
"Today we will present the boys to the kingdom, the Lords and Ladies and their vassals houses, will be present, no doubt with gracious gifts. Though, our vassal house from the Blackrivers will arrive as well." Aelxys told his wife, as he soothingly brushed his hand down her silver-white locks.
"And your uncle is the current lord, correct?" Rhaenyra looked up to meet the eyes of Aelxys, the ones their eldest son had been gifted with. "Will that mean, that Aslan will be leaving to the Blackrivers to assume his lordship?"
