Nayeli and edot have been best friends since kindergarten and prom night was in a week and neither one of them had anything to wear or a date so they decided to go together they were with Nayeli's friends picking out dresses edot really only tagged along because him and nayeli were basically a packaged deal they went almost everywhere together he felt like Nayeli was the only one who really understood him and she felt the same way
"Girl no that dress not it" Nayeli said when her friend came out in a short teal sequins dress
They were at the shop a little longer until her friends picked out a dressed because they had to go it was just her and edot now and she still had to pick her dress out she wouldve got a custom one but she didn't wanna go at first and it was way to late to order one now she came out in a black prom dress with a flared out bottom
"What about this?" She asked making him look up from his phone
"Damn" he muttered and nodding
He couldn't lie the dress complimented her and she looked beautiful in the dress this was the fourth dress she tried on and he thought that was the one it complimented her well she came back out in her regular clothes and has the dress in hand edot picked up a black suit that he'd get a family member to add something on it they paid for their outfits and left
"Thank you for coming to prom with me edot" she said
"It's not a problem we both didn't have nobody to go with might as well go together right?" He said
She smiled a few days later prom was the next day so she went to get her nails done and edot came with her and sat in the waiting room she got a basic black glittery French tip and she got her eyebrows threaded once her appointment ended she walked out to see edot sleep with his hoodie over his face she sucked her teeth walking up to him
"Man get up" she said chuckling
He jumped up
"I wasn't sleep" he said standing up stretching
"Yea right" she said walking out the nail salon
The next day came and it was prom day today they were both separate because she needed to get her hair and makeup done and edot had to pick up to suit and get his hair cut a few hours later her appointment ended she got a Barbie ponytail and she did a calm makeup look she didn't wanna do too much because she wasn't to big on makeup she went back to her house and got dressed and waited for edot a few minutes later her doorbell rung and she went downstairs getting it she smiled seeing edot
"Dayum Nayeli I didn't even know you could get dressed frl" edot said
"See now bye cuz you ain't have to say that" she said rolling her eyes
"Nah I'm playing but you look good tho" he said smiling
She smiled back
"You ready to go?" He asked
"Hold on we gotta take a picture" she said posing in front of the mirror
They took their picture and then got in the car driving to prom she couldn't stop cheesing if you went to her a few years earlier and told her , her best friend would be taking her to prom she'd probably laugh at you she got on her phone posting the picture of her and edot
