-VISION-

Camila stands barefoot on the warm, powdery sands of Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica, her gaze fixed on the expanse of the Pacific Ocean stretching infinitely before her. The late afternoon sun paints the sky in hues of peach and gold, casting a gentle warmth upon her face, and illuminating strands of her fluffy, light brown hair that dances in the ocean breeze. She folds her arms tightly over her chest and takes it all in with every inhale, and releases her anxiety of "the other shoe dropping" with every exhale. Here, there is only peace. No one is out to hurt her, no one knows where she is, no one can take away her paradise she has worked her whole life to have.

As she looks out over the tranquil waters, her mind wanders back through the chapters of her life, like pages of a cherished novel now slightly faded with time. The past feels distant-a tide that has ebbed away, leaving behind treasures and destruction in its wake. She misses it, but it's over now. She'd go back and do some of it again, but perhaps just playing those good parts back in her head is enough.

Lost in her reverie, Camila feels a familiar presence approaching from behind. She erupts into an everlasting smile that takes up her entire face as Lauren wraps her arms around Camila's waist, pulling her close. The embrace is a silent symphony of love, where each touch is a note that resonates deeply within them both. Lauren kisses the side of her face, and Camila emits the kind of sigh typically found in a happy wife who is thankful she has nothing to complain about at the end of the day. They sink down onto the soft sand together, Lauren's embrace a shelter from the world as she holds Camila from behind, keeping her between her bent, open legs.

"Is my girl okay?" Lauren asks, slowly rocking with Camila. "Hm?" she plants a chaste kiss on her cheek.

"Are the kids okay?"

"Yes. Of course. They're all sleeping."

"All three of them?" Camila smirks, glancing back at Lauren with a bounce in her brow. Lauren likes to say that they're sleeping, but she always neglects to realize that at least one of them is awake.

Lauren, like clockwork, squints and peers off to the side, afraid of saying something she isn't 100% about while looking into Camila's eyes. "Well..."
