Jules🌟
Before I could say anything, he started running in the direction behind me. I looked back at him in disgust and disbelief. I was so grossed out by how self involved yet self unaware he was. I decided not to overthink it because I was having an extremely good day before this.I headed over to my brothers team, who is now in full gear and ready to get into his car. He smiled at me just before putting his helmet on. I waited at the back of the garage, looking at him with awe of how far he'd come.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was a gorgeous woman with light brown curls and tan skin. She had a Red Bull T-shirt on and a headset.
" Hey, you're julia right? Max's sister?" She asked in an excited voice.
" oh yeah," I said sounding a bit lost and nervous.
" I saw what happened on the paddock with your coffee. I'm really sorry. I got you a new one though" she said, handing me a coffee.
" oh my God, thank you so much" I said stammering in disbelief of how nice she was.
" I am Mia. Mia Baker, I am Christian's assistant, so you'll see me around for most of the weekend," she said introducing herself.
I shook her hand, and it felt like something instantly clicked.
" so where are you from?" I asked her.
"Oh we travel around the workd cus of the races so much so I usually dont know what to say. But I'm basically from Brooklyn"
"You're kidding ! I just finished my college in New York from NYU"
"Ya I could tell from the coffee and the crazy new york hair ahhaah"
"Oh this?" I said pointing to my absolutely frizzy hair. "This is all cus of the rain it'll get better in a few hours. I actually got soaked in the rain yesterday on my way to the airport ."
"Oh wait what, dint you have a taxi or someone to pick you up?"
" Yeah, funny story, Max actually forgot that I was coming at 11 AM and not p.m. so I was kind of left stranded at the airport and I had to share a cab with the same guy that I just bumped into and spilled my coffee all over."
"Hey anytime that you need a ride my love, you can always call me." She said grabbing my phone and typing something on it. "This is my number and you can call me at any time. I don't care night or day and I'll be there."
She was so unbelievably sweet and amazing. It just made me hate the airport guy even more. I dont know why I was comparing the two, maybe cus they were new people I'd met. It was pretty safe to say that I definitely liked Mia a hell of a lot more than that devilish man.
Charles❤️
I hastily changed my shirt, jumped into the car and sped onto the track. As I set out on the track, I felt like something was off. The car was different. The grip was unsettling and an unease crept over me. I did a few laps and then got out.I hated this feeling when I felt like my car dint understand me. When I was in the car, nothing in the world mattered, but on day like this, where I can't get a hold of my car, I'd feel this empty void in me.
I went back down to talk my mechanics through the car and its problems and after a while of that i decided to head back to the hotel.
In hotel lobby
I saw Lando and Danni all dressed up in expensive shirts and long pants waving right at me as I walked in all sweaty and humid into the hotel lobby."Heya mate you look tense" Danni said as i walked towards them.
"Ya just something with the car." I said after a pause. "Where are you two going tho all dressed up??"
