We walk in the VIP line since Claire gave the boys one and handed me one before I left. I'm thankful for this wristbands because the line was sooooo long. As we walk by, getting there faster than everyone else, people were moaning and groaning. As soon as we stepped foot into the showing room, a sign above the door said 'Next feeding in 20 minutes' in bright red letters.
"Come on!" I heard a guy shout from the back.
The showing was in a giant log in the forest. I'll give em this one, it was kinda neat. Little kids were crowded in front of the window as a goat was pushed up onto the ground below. Gray tried desperately to squeeze in between some kids to get a view of the dinosaur. The T-Rex closed its jaw around the goat and Gray sighed. "Man..."
I turned to see Zach walking closer to the back of the log on the phone. "Hey mom," he says as he answers. I decide not to eavesdrop since it's family and I stand next to Gray.
"Hey, it's alright. It's not really that interesting. I've seen it plenty of times to know so." Gray looks at me and tilts his head. "Oh, I basically live here. My uncle works with the raptors and I visit him every so often and now that my dad just died in October, my mom sent me here for a while." Gray's face drops. "I'm sorry for your loss," he says, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"It's alright, I don't think about it a lot." Gray's smile reappears and he lets go of his grasp on me. He really was a sweet kid, Zach should treat him better. I realized that I haven't really gotten a good look at Zach since this whole time he's either been behind me or on his phone. Speak of the devil, Zach walks back over to us, with his phone finally put in his pocket. I look up at him and my heart beats faster. He has those dark brown eyes and brown hair to make a girl melt. And his lips! They were just the right size and shade of pink. I have never wanted to kiss someone so bad.
"You guys want to go see the Mososaurus?" I ask excitedly and Gray jumps up and down.
"Dude, calm down," Zach commands and Gray expresses a sad look. I lean in close to Gray and whisper, "Don't listen to him, I love your enthusiasm." He giggles and runs ahead. I stay back and walk with Zach, my grey Vans clapping against the ground.
"You know, you don't have to pretend to enjoy his company," Zach says flatly. I raise an eyebrow. "I'd enjoy his over yours any day." I smirk and he puts on a pretend hurt look. I giggle slightly and push his arm. He pushes back, but ends up knocking me over. His face turns a light crimson and he helps me up. "Sorry..." he mumbles and I laugh.
"First your brother and now you?" I chuckle and he smiles. Oh my lord his smile...Wait, no! Was I falling for him?!
"Oh, I like your shirt." I look down at my white shirt with the words 'Fall Out Boy' printed on it. This boy could not be anymore perfect.
