VALENTINE'S DAY IS A GREAT HOLIDAY FOR those in relationships. not me, though.

the camp didn't usually celebrate mortal holidays, but all the couples had to celebrate valentine's day. it was adorably disgusting to see all the camp couples being all lovey-dovey.

it was a weekend, so we didn't have any scheduled activities that day. piper and jason were hanging out doing gods-knows-what, so i was stuck in bunker nine.

not that it was a bad thing, of course. i liked hanging out in bunker nine. leo was always good company and never failed to have me laughing until my face hurt.

today it was only leo and i in the bunker. usually, the rest of the hephaestus cabin would be there helping to work on the war ship, but because it was a weekend and a holiday, most were doing fun activities with their friends. not leo though, leo had become impeccably focused on the construction of the argo II

there was a television in bunker nine, so i could catch up on all the cinema i missed over the last century. i was currently watching roman holiday with audrey hepburn and gregory peck.

"isn't audrey hepburn just the coolest," i said to leo, not taking my eyes off the film.

"yeah, she's pretty hot." leo was working on the ship a few feet from where i sat at the television. he was banging some metal together wearing those silly goggles. "why do you watch these old movies? i get it you're from the silent film era and all that, but don't you wanna catch up and watch some newer stuff?"

"like what?"

"like a marvel movie or something. or a rom-com."

"a rom-com?"

"romantic comedy," leo explained. "the best movie genre ever."

"i'll tell you what," i said. i paused the movie and turned around to face leo. "we go into the city, i'll get you burger king, you'll teach me how to use the internet, and we can see a rom-com movie."
