Hyunjin's POV:

He looked at me with concern and understanding, knowing that this quest for justice was something I needed to do. "I'll support you, Hyung," he said, his voice steady. "Whatever you need."

In the past weeks, I had hired a private detective to help me find Seungmin's killer. Despite his best efforts, he found nothing more than what the police had already uncovered. All the camera recordings from that day were mysteriously missing, and there was no physical evidence to go on.

The only potential lead was a witness who had seen someone with a covered face rushing into a nightclub near the crime scene. But the police had already investigated and come up empty-handed; no one in the club had seen anything.

Frustration and despair were constant companions as I tried to hold onto hope. Then, one evening, a knock on the door startled me from my thoughts. I hurried to open it and found my private detective, San, standing there with a serious expression.

"We need to talk. I found something," he said, stepping past me into the house.

"Did you find him?" I asked, my heart pounding with a mix of hope and fear.

"Not yet," San replied, settling onto the couch. "But I found something new." He paused, gathering his thoughts. "Remember the nightclub where the police found nothing?"

I nodded, sitting across from him, anxious to hear what he had discovered.

"I went there, pretending to be just another patron. I mingled with the workers and struck up a conversation with the bartender. When I asked if he saw someone with a mask that day, he told me, 'I advise you not to research this issue and not to ask anyone else. If they know that someone has asked about them, they will not leave you alive.'"

My eyes widened in shock. "They? There are more than one?"

"I'm afraid so," San confirmed. "It seems we're dealing with a gang, not just one person."

A cold chill ran down my spine. The realization that Seungmin's death might be tied to something much larger and more dangerous than I had imagined was overwhelming. "We need to talk to the police," I said, starting to stand.

San grabbed my arm, stopping me. "And tell them what? The bartender won't say the same thing to the police. They have no reason to believe us without concrete evidence."

I sank back down, feeling a mix of frustration and determination. "You're right. We have to solve this on our own. Thank you, San. Call me if you find anything else."

"Sure," he replied, giving me a reassuring nod before heading to the door.

As he left, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. The path ahead was fraught with danger, but I couldn't let that deter me. Seungmin deserved justice, and I was determined to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.

I spent the rest of the evening poring over the information San had given me, trying to piece together the puzzle. The idea of facing a gang was terrifying, but it also gave me a new direction. I would need to be careful, methodical, and brave.

Over the next few days, I started frequenting the nightclub, just as San had, hoping to notice anything out of the ordinary. But each day passed with nothing significant, and my frustration grew.

One evening, around 9 PM, I was at home, lost in thought, when I heard my brother Jeongin and his friend coming down the stairs. "See you tomorrow, Hyung," Jeongin said, waving his friend off as he left the house. Turning to me, Jeongin asked, "You didn't sleep?"

"No, I'm thinking," I replied, staring at the wall.
"Still thinking about that bartender?" he asked, sitting next to me on the couch.
"Yes," I admitted, the frustration clear in my voice.
