In moments calm, the heart does sway,
Between the light and shadows' play.
But as the storm begins to rise,
We stand on edge, beneath the skies.

But as the storm begins to rise, We stand on edge, beneath the skies

Hyunjin's POV:

When I woke up, I instinctively reached out beside me, but Minho wasn't there. My eyes fluttered open, and I scanned the empty room. A strange sense of emptiness lingered in the space where he should have been. I sighed and made my way to the bathroom, letting the hot water from the shower wash away the remnants of last night's intensity.

After getting dressed, I headed to the living room. The moment I entered, I saw everyone gathered—Felix, Jisung, Chan, Jeongin, Changbin, and of course, Minho. His presence filled the room effortlessly, a silent reminder of the power and authority he commanded.

Minho's eyes lit up when he saw me, and a soft smile curved on his lips. "Good morning, baby," he greeted, his voice warm.

"Good morning, everyone," I replied, nodding to the rest of the group as I made my way over to Minho and sat beside him, our shoulders brushing. The familiarity of the gesture made me relax a little.

Minho turned to me, his hand finding its way to my thigh. "I told them about my father and the changes that will happen when he steps down," he said, his tone serious but measured.

"How will the new leader be chosen?" I asked, curious about the future of the gang.

"The most powerful will be appointed as the leader," Minho explained, his gaze flickering over each member of the group before settling back on me. "When we take Viper down, my father will make his decision."

Felix leaned back in his chair, a contemplative look on his face. "I expect it to be Chan Hyung," he said, his voice casual but certain.

Minho nodded thoughtfully. "Chan Hyung is strong, and he's proven himself time and time again," he agreed. "But nothing is set in stone yet."

After we sat for a while, chatting about various topics, the conversation flowed naturally, a sense of calm settling over the group. It felt almost surreal to have a moment of peace amidst all the chaos that had surrounded us lately. Eventually, we made our way to the dining room for breakfast. The clinking of cutlery and the murmur of conversation filled the air, but my mind was elsewhere, swirling with thoughts of Minho and everything we had been through.

As breakfast came to an end, I leaned over to Minho and whispered, "Hyung, I want to talk to you."

He nodded, his eyes filled with that familiar intensity, and we excused ourselves. Once we were alone in our room, Minho took my coat and draped it over my shoulders. The gesture was simple, yet it carried a weight that made my heart flutter. "I'll take you on a date," he said, his voice surprisingly soft.
