In darkness deep where secrets lie,
A dance of masks, a jealous sigh.
Desire burns, a smoldering flame,
In this game of hearts, who's to blame?Chains of gold, a back exposed,
In silent glances, truths disclosed.
Flirting with fire, both lost and found,
In passion's grip, we're tightly bound.✨.......................✨
Minho's POV:
The masquerade party was a grand affair, filled with opulence and intrigue. The room was adorned with golden chandeliers that cast a warm, luxurious glow over the elegantly dressed guests. Ornate decorations and lavishly set tables added to the regal atmosphere, while the murmur of conversations and the clinking of glasses created a symphony of sophistication. Everyone wore elaborate masks, hiding their true identities and adding an air of mystery to the evening.
We were all strategically positioned, each with hidden earpieces for discreet communication. Felix and Jisung sat at one table, engaged in light banter. Jeongin and Chan occupied another table, maintaining a watchful eye on the room. Changbin and Seungmin were seated together, seemingly enjoying themselves, which was odd.
My attention was irresistibly drawn to Hyunjin as he moved across the room. His steps were graceful, almost hypnotic, as he made his way to Felix and Jisung's table. His outfit, with its exposed back and provocatively fitted pants that highlighted his firm, sexy butt, annoyed me to no end. He had defied my wishes, choosing to wear this daring ensemble, but he had convinced me in the most irresistible way possible.
The sight of him, so alluring and confident, set my blood boiling with a mix of pride and jealousy. I clenched my fists, trying to maintain my composure. Through the earpiece, I heard Felix's voice.
"Hyunjin, you look stunning. But remember, we're here on business."
Hyunjin flashed a charming smile. "I know, Felix. Just playing my part."
My jaw tightened. Even though I trusted him, seeing him draw attention from others was infuriating. "Everyone, keep an eye out," I said into the earpiece, trying to regain control. "Stay alert."
As the night progressed, the tension between duty and desire grew stronger. In the lion's den of this masquerade, every move was a calculated risk, every glance a potential threat. But no matter what, I couldn't let anything happen to Hyunjin. Not tonight. Not ever.
I scanned the room, noting the opulence and the hidden dangers lurking behind every mask. The chandeliers' light reflected off the polished marble floors, casting intricate patterns that danced with the shifting shadows. The scent of expensive perfume mingled with the aroma of gourmet food, creating a heady mix that heightened the senses.
Hyunjin's laughter reached my ears, soft yet distinct, and I found myself drawn to him once more. The way he carried himself, the way his eyes sparkled with mischief, made it impossible to look away. He was a vision of temptation, a siren in the midst of predators.
