Chan was quickly taking them down with his sniper skills. They didn't call him "Deadshot" for nothing. Changbin moved in front of me, helping eliminate any guards that came our way. We added silencers to our guns to avoid detection, preferring to take the guards down silently as they outnumbered us.
"Go left, second door," Felix directed through the earpiece. We navigated through the dimly lit corridor, reaching the specified room. I exchanged a glance with the team before opening the door. Inside, the room was empty except for a single table with a ringing phone.
I picked up the phone. "What made you late? Did the guards slow you down? Haha, I thought you Venom were faster than that, but it turns out you need more training," the voice mocked. "Now, where's my boy Chan? Is he crying at night for his parents?"
Before I could respond, Chan snatched the phone. "It doesn't matter if it's today, tomorrow, or a hundred years from now. You better lock your doors and keep your guards close because I'm coming for you, and you'll wish you were dead." With that, he hurled the phone against the wall, shattering it, and dashed out of the room in a fit of rage.
As we hurriedly left the house, the ride home was filled with tense silence. Jisung was driving, his focus unwavering.
"Sorry, Hyung, I must have missed something," Felix broke the silence, his voice tinged with regret.
"Not your fault, Felix. He's always one step ahead of us. I'm starting to think we have a spy," I replied, glancing at Changbin, who was smiling at his phone.
"What's making you smile like that in a situation like this?" I asked.
"Sorry, Hyung, I was just—" he began but trailed off as I extended my hand for his phone. Reluctantly, he handed it over, his face falling into a look of defeat.
The open chat was with someone named Sam:
**Changbin:**
Hello Sam I'm Changbin ☺️**Sam:**
Oh hey, you left in a hurry and you forgot your wallet. Let's meet tomorrow so I can give it to you.**Changbin:**
Is it a date? 🫣**Sam:**
You are flirty 😒Felix, sitting next to me, whispered just loud enough for Changbin to hear, "Please tell me you don't suspect any of us of being a spy."
Changbin looked at me, his face a mix of shock and frustration. "Unbelievable," he muttered, then turned to Jisung. "Stop the van now."
Without another word, he took his phone and stormed out as soon as the van came to a halt.
"This isn't good," Felix said softly. The tension in the air was palpable as the van continued its journey back, now with one less member inside.
Hyunjin's POV
I looked at my conversation with Changbin again before turning off my phone. It seemed like he was flirting with me, but I hoped not. I didn't want to reject him because I needed to find out if he knew anything.
After taking a shower, I headed to bed, eager for some sleep.
Just before I closed my eyes, a message notification startled me. Reaching out to my phone, I read the message:
Unknown Number:
Stay away from Changbin. My eyes widened in shock. Who was this? How did they know about me and Changbin?
I quickly typed a response:
Hyunjin:
Who are you?The message was marked as seen, but there was no reply. I stared at the screen for a few moments before giving up and setting the phone back down.
