Autumn liked her space, she always had, even when she was little the only person who was allowed to invade her personal space was Reece. She didn't like hugging, she hugged her mother and then she went off in a fancy car never to return again, Autumn didn't hug, hugs mean goodbye.

She loved having her own home, it was perfectly designed for her, she knew where everything was and how it should be kept.

These were the thoughts she had when she found the empty bottle of men's shower gel in her bathroom bin. She wondered again when she found the second toothbrush next to hers or when more food was being eaten and especially when she found herself emptying out a drawer to put men's clothes in.

Autumn liked her space, Autumn also liked Winter.

She didn't even realise he had been at her place all that often. It just felt natural driving them both to the same place and she couldn't imagine driving to his apartment to drop him off. That wasn't his house. But it was.

Any night they did spend apart he went off to his one bedroom apartment with his bed that was supposed to go sleep two people but there was hardly any room for just winter. That wasn't his bed. But it was.

Winter was feeling it too, any time he wasn't with Autumn at night they were constantly texting, they sent each other photos and even had fallen asleep while talking on the phone. He had definitely thought about living together but he respected the fact that she liked her personal space. However, he also knew that she liked him being there, it gave her a sense of security. Not that she was a delicate flower that couldn't defend herself, she probably could do more damage without Winter in the house, but she still liked to know she wasn't alone.

They both wanted to ask their partner about moving in together but both thought it was far too soon. It had only been 8 months.8 tiny months and all that had happened was Winter was staying at Autumns more than his own, he had a drawer at her place, he had his own wash bag and toiletry essentials, his own section in her cupboards for his own snacks and food. Just regular things people who were dating did after 8 months. Thinking about it like that Winter realised maybe it was time to take the next big step in their relationship.

He planned to ask her tonight but then started feeling silly about asking her could he live there in her own house. He didn't really know how to go around it, but he was feeling quite nervous about it, Autumn was all about having her own home and liked it just being herself in her own company. He really saw a future with Autumn and hoped she saw it too. He hoped she would let him invade that privacy.

Later that evening, Autumn picked Winter up from his place to go to hers. She hated doing this, it was too far for him to walk but the drive was so pointless to her when he could just stay, stay forever she means. She felt nervous about talking about moving in together because it really hadn't been that long. Her commitment issues were screaming at her to slow down but her heart was telling her to move this fast with him. She really liked Winter and she really could see a future with him but this is a big step to take in a relationship and she just hoped he was ready for it.

They drove to her place in silence. Both of them nervous and both could sense that the other was nervous but still decided against saying anything. Once they arrived they looked at each other and she lent over to give him a sweet kiss.

They went inside and got comfortable while trying to choose what to do that day. Not much conversation was happening and they were both on edge. They suddenly went silent before both of them spoke at the same time.
