"Bring some hot water," Natasha's voice rang out. Jungkook's heart pounded as he carried the bottle to Taehyung's room. He was too scared to even glance at Taehyung.
"Put it there," Natasha instructed again. Jungkook placed the bottle on the table, stealing a quick look at Taehyung, who was engrossed in his laptop. With a heavy heart, Jungkook walked back to his cabin.
"Did I just dream yesterday?" he thought, confusion swirling in his mind. "Why isn't he even looking at me? Did he forget about me? Was it all just a prank?" His eyes welled up with tears as he bit his nails nervously.
The day dragged on like any other for Jungkook. Taehyung remained absorbed in his work, only summoning Jungkook for lunch and afternoon tea. As the clock struck 5 PM, Jungkook gathered his things and headed downstairs. "Good evening," he mumbled, giving a faint smile to the security guards.
"Why is it like this? Is this love?" he wondered, feeling a deep sense of disappointment. "He didn't even notice me."
Sighing, Jungkook waited at the curb. Suddenly, a car pulled up in front of him.
"Get in," Taehyung said, lowering his car window. Jungkook looked at him, unsure. "Get in, Jungkook," Taehyung repeated more firmly. Jungkook hesitated for a moment before walking around to the passenger side and slipping into the seat.
"Why are you shivering, Jungkook? I'm not going to eat you," Taehyung teased, noticing Jungkook's nervousness.
Jungkook smiled awkwardly. "Hmm..."
"Are you angry with me?" Taehyung asked, a gentle smile playing on his lips.
"Me? No... why would I be?"
"I was avoiding you all day, so I thought..."
"It's nothing, sir..."
"I was busy, Jungkook. Meetings, conferences... We got a new contract," Taehyung explained.
Jungkook's face lit up at the word "we." "Congratulations, sir..."
"Thank you, Daffodil. By the way, our life will always be like this, Jungkook. Always busy, with tensions, meetings, conferences, etc. But I will find time for you. Okay?"
Jungkook nodded. "Hmm..."
"Say something, Jungkook... Are you okay?"
"I am okay, sir..."
"Sir? Call me Taehyung..."
"No... I will call you sir... You are my boss..."
"Just boss?" Taehyung looked at him intently.
"No... but... sir..."
"Taehyung."
"Sir... please... I..."
"Taehyung," he said again, his tone more forceful.
"But... it's... I think... sir..."
Suddenly, the car stopped, and Taehyung glared at Jungkook. "It's Taehyung for you, Jungkook." He leaned towards Jungkook, removing his seat belt, causing Jungkook to lean back. "Tae..."
"Taehyung," he repeated.
"Hyung... I will call you hyung. I can't call you by your name. You are older than me," Jungkook stammered, clearly tense.
"That's up to you, but no more 'sir' and 'boss'," Taehyung said, sitting back and putting on his seat belt with a smile.
.
"No more boss or sir? Even in the office?" Jungkook asked, looking at Taehyung.
