"We are all here for a reason Choi Y/N," he stared you down. "You're an idiot if you think this is a coincidence."
"I can assure you, this was all an accident," you glared viciously at your roommate. "Why would I mix myself up with people like you?"...
"When I can't see those failing eyes, I can't find a good word for you. Does it come as a surprise?"

"So...," you began awkwardly while sitting across from Wonwoo at your and Hoseok's kitchen table. It was a hopeless attempt to fill the silence that lay thick across the room. "Would you like a snack or something?"
"No- Thank you," his voice was hesitant as he pulled folders and a laptop out of a briefcase and handed you a stack that matched his. They were all labeled by date with your name printed across. He laid his matching folders out in order of date and you followed his action. Another bout of silence filled the air as you watched the man intently. You took a sip of the warm tea he had given you when he first walked in and noted the smell of coffee coming from his cup, wondering how he knew you preferred one over the other or if it was a lucky guess.
Before Hoseok left to meet Doyoung, he had you promise to keep things civil with Wonwoo and that would only be a problem if Wonwoo struck first as he usually did. So far, there were no jabs or dirty looks from the man. Only silence and stiffness.
"We've been researching businesses on Jeju," the man began explaining after fully emptying his briefcase. "Our main form of searching will be figuring out if your brothers are employed at any of these places. If they're staying on Jeju, they're most likely working there too. Will you open your folder for our first day?"
You paid close attention as he spoke and followed his instructions. In your first folder, it had a list of all the businesses you were set to visit on your first day.
"The highlighted ones are of potential sightings, we have nothing super concrete so we'll just check these in the order that saves us the most time, there should be a map in the folder too. The game plan is to stop at each of these places and inquire about your brothers."
You glanced over the map and the list.
"We need a cover," you grabbed a pen and underlined places that would've interested your brothers; Bakeries, shoe stores, tutoring establishments. "People aren't just gonna give us employee information because we asked. How are we going about that?"
"You're a good actor aren't you, Y/N?" he gave you an odd look.
"I've been told that, yes," you nodded returning the look. "But, I'm not really that practiced right now."
"I mean, you did spend your first few weeks here lying to everyone about who you are and where you came from."
"Fair point," you took another sip of your tea. "So what? We just use different excuses and see who's stupid enough to buy it."
"Y'know I've studied your work, Y/N," he spoke smoothly. "After I was assigned to your brothers I looked into you too. And my research proved that you're very convincing."
"What's with the flattery?" you raised a brow. "You're not usually this civil."
"Hope made me promise not to give you any shit," he shrugged and you let out a laugh.
