The car he was driving was silent. Well, aside from the squeaky breaks and the wind blowing in at 75mph from the permanently cracked window on the back left door. He had taken a burner car from one of their previous deals to go on what his absolute drug addict of a best friend enthusiastically called a "Fun Little Road Trip".
Unfortunately, said best friend had accidentally eaten the wrong edible before the ride and was currently knocked the fuck out.
They were on their way to Daejeon for a meeting with some new clients from Daegu. Hardly a road trip, but the sleeping mass next to him was extremely overdramatic.
The light he was at had been red for the last three minutes, which, in retrospect, should have pissed him off. But, despite nearly two hours of nothing but squeaky breaks and his best friend snoring, after the light finally turned green, he could finally take the piss he had been holding for the last forty minutes driving.
He checked his phone for updates on the roommate situation. Their apartment was set to be used for a meeting between a few of his colleagues. This was something that often occurred with or without him there, the only difference was now he had a roommate. A roommate that he didn't want to get too caught up in his work bullshit.
To solve this problem, he contacted his four favorite foreigners.
From The8: We're at the apartment
From The8: She's taking ages to get readyHis eyebrows creased, people were to start arriving in thirty minutes.
From The8: Johnny went to go talk to her, he's been in there for like five minutes.
He was worried, very worried. He had finally found a roommate that was cool about him never being home and he did not want to drive her away. He hadn't told her about his job yet.
To The8: Lmao are they fucking or something?
He tried to joke, he really did. He hoped that his friend couldn't sense his nervousness through the text. He knew in reality that the recipient of the text wouldn't be able to tell that he was practically shitting himself, there was no way to pick up on tone through a text.
The light, after many long minutes, turned green and he nearly shouted in pure joy over the fact that he finally, finally was going to pee.
He pulled up to the gas station and practically flew out of his car and into the store to relieve himself.
Never in his life did Hoseok think that he would be this happy to be in a dirty, poorly lit, shit-smelling, public restroom.
But, here we are.
When he got back to the car, his best friend was now awake and looking kinda angry.
"That's real nice, Hoseok," she spoke sarcastically the moment he opened the door. "Leaving a sleeping woman in an unlocked car with the keys in the ignition in an unfamiliar place; Real fucking nice."
Hoseok simply ignored the woman and handed her a bottle of water and kimbap.
"I love your fucking face, Hoseok," she smiled and happily took the food out of his hands.
Hoseok laughed at the answer he expected from the woman. He had known her for ten years, he knew exactly how to get on her good side.
"So, who are these dudes, anyway?" Hoseok pulled out of the parking lot, following the instructions from the GPS. "We've never worked with them before."
"Remember a few months ago, when that big ass gang in Daegu we used to provide for was busted? The one my mom was in?" she spoke in between bites.
