"I left home, hoping all this imagination doesn't end in illusions."
You took a deep breath and stepped into the relatively small apartment building that you now lived in.
You thought of this as you leaving the world you once lived in behind and entering your new world.
That's right folks.
The entrance to your new life were two shitty double glass doors that looked like they hadn't been washed in, well, ever. The left one had a large crack that went from the top left corner all the way down to the bottom right corner. The right door had a large sign on it that said: "NO LOITERING" in Korean and English.
And your new world was a lobby that smelt of cigarettes and mildew.
"Might as well have put up a sign saying, 'GO HOME CHOI Y/N' with big fat letters," you muttered to yourself.
But you didn't want to go home. "This is home now," you whisper before dragging your suitcase behind you and walking towards the elevator. The elevator was small. It had scratches and drawings on the walls. The floor beneath you was covered by a questionably stained carpet.
You pulled your sleeve over your hand and pressed the button to the 3rd floor.
Three was always your lucky number. You didn't know why or how it ended up being your favorite number. It just was. So when you saw that the person living in apartment 03 on the third floor in an apartment building called 'Lucky 3' was looking for a roommate, you couldn't refuse.
Sure it was in a sketchy neighborhood but you didn't care. You had experienced worse than an unmaintained apartment building and a stranger for a roommate.
Far worse.
You nervously clicked the button on your luggage as the elevator went up. The elevator beeped as the floors passed.

As the two shitty double metal doors slid apart from each other, a cloud of smoke entered the elevator.
When the smoke cleared, your eyes were completely blessed by two extremely attractive men puffing away at what smelt like weed and looked like blunts.
You inhaled the smell that your childhood partly consisted of. You slightly smiled at the few happy memories that flooded your mind as you walked past the two men.
"Wait! Miss?" you heard someone yell from behind you.
You turned around to be greeted by one of the attractive men from the elevator.
You looked up to make eye contact with him. "Yes?"
He took the blunt out of his mouth and exhaled. "You dropped this," he said holding out your apartment key.
