Back at the party, continued

"You're crying?" Sumi asked Faye, frowning, while using her hand to wipe away the tears falling down her friend's face.

Faye just shrugged her off. "I'm not. I just..." She sighed heavily.

"Hey, hey." Sumi grabbed her shoulders and drew her attention to her face. "Boys are stupid, right?"

Faye just sniffled and wiped her palm across her face. "Yea. They are. You're right."

Sumi flashed that charismatic smile she always held. "So, just drink more and forget about them, yeah?"

"Yeah."

Faye tried her hardest to forget about her brother and San, but the more she drank, the more the pit grew in her stomach. The night crept on and while her friends were trying to drown themselves with liquor, she did the same, maybe even double whatever they did. Fighting with the two people she cared about the most took a toll on her, like nothing before. Yes, she was an extreme heavy weight, but that night, even she couldn't keep up with herself.

The party continued like any other, except she accidentally made herself to be the center of attention, talking loud enough to draw in all around her, stumbling around, attempting to dance. Deep into the night, most people had left, and it was just her and a handful of drunk students.

Sumi got pulled aside by someone and eventually walked over, back to Faye, who might as well have been the drunkest one there.

"Hey, I'm gonna head home. Can we walk you back to your dorm?"

Faye's fake smile that she had plastered on her face all night fell. "But it's not over," she argued.

"You're really drunk, okay? Let me walk you back and-"

"No!" Faye yelled shoving Sumi away from her.

It was loud enough to where the other people around her turned their heads and looked at them.

"Faye, please don't this right now." Sumi pleaded, but Faye turned around and ignored her.

It was almost like she was self destructing, asking to mess things up even further with her one true friend at this school.

Sumi seemed concerned, rather than upset, but she still left her on her own.

Faye just drank more and more and a crowd of the last bit of students all circled near her, dancing along to the music.

Her perspective was blurred, as she could never focus on any one person's face.

When most people had truly left, there were maybe ten people there. She kept downing her drinks that everyone was feeding her. She could barely stand up straight and eventually fell into the sand from dancing so hard.
