"Sannie?"
"Mhm?"
Faye let go of the pencil and notebook she was holding onto and stretched her arms above her head. "We've been studying so much it's giving me a headache. I want to take a break."
San put his notebook down as well and laid on his stomach, head facing towards the edge of his bed, where Faye was sitting on the floor, leaning back into the bottom of San's bed. "Yeah, you're right. I'm stuck on what to write for my class anyways. Want to watch a movie?"
"A movie? Okay," Faye agreed, turning and around and smiling at San who's face was quite close to hers. "Or...we could talk?"
San slid off the edge of his bed and sat next to her. He brought his legs into his chest and looked at her, softly. "What do you want to talk about?"
Faye sighed and dropped her shoulders, looking back at him. "So yesterday, you asked me to come over, which made me really happy because I've missed you. But then we studied for a few hours and you never really talked to me. Then, again tonight, you asked me to come over to study and that's what we've done for two hours, but you haven't said anything even though something is clearly bothering you."
"I'm fine, I just didn't want to study alone," he reassured her, giving a little smile.
"See, normally I'd believe you, but you said you have loads of writing assignments to do, yet you've barely done any work. You've just been staring into space."
"Ah. I figured you've been too busy working to pay attention to me."
"San."
San rubbed his face with his hands then combed through his hair. "Can I just say I'm fine and we pretend it's nothing?" He chuckled.
"We can if that's what you want. You don't owe me an explanation for anything, you know that."
San groaned. "I know. I know. Honestly, I'm not good. Like at all."
"Is it your mom?"
"My mom? Oh. Well, not exactly. I guess it's everything right now."
"Is it Wooyoung?"
"Wooyoung?"
"He'd kill me if I told you this. But when I went over to his yesterday, I asked to talk to both of you and he begged me not to invite you over. I don't know why, but he said he didn't want to see you. That he couldn't."
"Oh."
"Yeah. I don't what happened between you two, especially since you seemed fine before, but the only reason you were able to come over was because I made sure he knew how important it was for me to talk to you both."
"Okay, yes, it's about Wooyoung. We fought and now I'm not quite sure where we stand or if we can even be okay."
"It was that bad?"
