"Like this?" Wooyoung asked Hongjoong.
Hongjoong chuckled. "Yeah, almost," he said, while stretching his words into a higher pitch.
The two were sat at the piano and they were taking turns pressing keys, Wooyoung attempting to play a melody that Hongjoong was teaching him. He'd do a few correctly, but then hit a wrong key after.
"Sorry, I'm terrible at this," Wooyoung jokingly winced.
"No, you're doing great for a beginner. Just think of each note connecting, rather than just hitting them one at a time. Like each key is a piece of a puzzle." Hongjoong then scooted closer and placed his hands on top of the other's and began to guide him in the song. Wooyoung could feel his thigh press against his and the gentle pressure of his fingertips. Normally, his touch wouldn't warrant even a second thought, but for some reason, today, a shockwave of nerves ran through him.
Hongjoong continued playing for him and looked to the side and smiled. His hands only shot down when the door to the music room flew open. San, seemingly panicked, walked towards the piano.
"Wooyoung. Can I talk to you?"
"Sure?" Wooyoung said, questioning the nature of his voice because he sounded serious. He then stood up and followed San back into the hallway.
They faced each other and San started. "So, Hana got in a fight with Faye and because she's mad at her, she posted these photos." He pulled out his phone and scrolled through the slides until he got to the last photo. Wooyoung leaned in more and saw the blatant intimacy of them dancing.
It was a single moment of time, encapsulating the entirety of the night they had together. A flood of feelings crashed into him. At a glance, even just through the photo, Wooyoung could feel the warmth of San's hands on his waist and the lingering pressure of their bodies pressed together.
"How did she even get this photo? She wasn't there."
"We don't know, but I just wanted to let you know because she's trying to involve us too." San rubbed his hands on his neck and stress emitted from his eyes. "I just don't want people seeing this because then they'll think I'm gay," he said.
Wooyoung squinted his eyes at San. "Would that really matter, though?"
Faye and Sumi were sitting in the locker room and Faye was crying loudly into Sumi's arms. She sobbed notions of how Hana hated her. It was a rambling mess of words. "I don't know why she's doing this to me. I fucking hate her. If my dad sees, he'll suspend me."
Sumi grabbed her shoulders and drew her attention back to her face. "He won't. He's already seen the photos and didn't do anything then."
"But now it's not just about me. She posted photos of Yunho and I. And Wooyoung and San. I don't even know what that was about or why there's a photo like that to begin with, but if my dad sees it, he'll get angry at both of us."
