Abby walks out of her room and notices that Sheila has opened her door a small amount to check on what she could only assume was the baby. She turns quickly and walks to the kitchen. Moments later Sheila walks in and notices Abby sitting on the chair. "I see you got out here before me. What would you like for breakfast?" Abby doesn't respond. "Well, I guess some eggs, bacon, and toast will be this mornings breakfast." Without hesitation Sheila begins on breakfast. When finished cooking she hands a plate to Abby who just looks down at the food. Sheila sits next to her and begins to eat. "Whats wrong? Don't you like it?" Abby just sits there. "Well if you eat it, you do. If you don't then you don't. I made it for you and there it is." Abby is still just sitting there. Sheila finishes her plate, gets up and goes to the sink to wash it. She turns back around to see Abby still in her catatonic like state. "Fine. Rudy should be here any minute now. Go into the living room while I clean up the kitchen." Abby slowly gets up and walks toward the living room. She stops a moment to look down the hallway, then she continues on her way.

10 minutes go by and there's a knock at the door. Sheila goes to answer it and sees Rudy standing there. She lets him in. She looks him up and down and says "Abby is in the living room. Why don't you go join her." Rudy looks to Sheila "Thank you." and walks to the living room. When he walks in he sees Abby sitting there. "Abby?" She doesn't turn her head. He sits next to her and places his arm around her. Rudy reaches for her face to turn her head to look at him. She's very pale and looks like she hasn't slept. "Abby, honey are you alright?" Abby blinks her eyes a couple times and starts to cry. She wraps her arms around his neck and just lets all her emotions out at once. Sheila walks into the living room and sits down across from them. She sees the state that her daughter is in and sheds a couple tears. "Rudy, I'm glad you are here. She has really needed you." Sheila says while wiping her eyes. "I know, and for that I am sorry. I have been real busy with work. We got a lot of new contracts in so there isn't much room for rest. I explained the situation and my boss told me to take as much time as I needed. That family comes first." Sheila nods her head and looks to Abby. "Abby, we need to talk about last night."

Abby turns to her mom still crying and slowly nods her head. "I don't really know what to say. The entire time we were promised the baby was to be a girl. This is what I looked forward to. This is what I planned for. I never wanted a son. I was lied to and cheated. That is not my baby. I want no part of it." Abby goes to stand up but Rudy stops her. "What do you mean you want no part of it? That is our baby. OUR baby. We have a duty as parents to take care of and love him. It shouldn't matter if its a girl or a boy." Abby sits back down and looks at Rudy. Sheila begins. "It was a hard labor. Abby was in labor over 24 hours. When the baby was out he wasn't breathing. The doctor took a few minutes to look him over and try to get his first breath. The entire time Abby was worried and wanted to see him. When the doctor turned around and told us he was a healthy boy, Abby's condition quickly changed. She wouldn't hold him or look at him. I took the baby from the doctor and held him. Abby was different. She just wasn't herself. After cleaning her and everything up I put him in my room for the night. I left my room to grab a few things to walk in and see Abby about to smother him with a pillow. It was almost as if someone else was controlling her. She dropped the pillow and walked out. She has had nothing to do with him since." Rudy, the whole time Sheila is talking keeps looking back and forth between her and his wife while nodding his head. "What are you telling me? She tried to kill our baby?" Rudy looks angry and doesn't believe her. "Why would she should do that? We have tried and tried to have a baby. And you're telling me that after we finally have one, that she tries to kill it." Sheila slowly nods her head. "Yes." Rudy stands up anger dripping off him in waves. "Go get my son." Sheila glares at him. "Fine, I will go get him." Sheila goes to her room to get Willo. She can hear Abby begin to cry again and Rudy telling her how he doesn't believe her for a second. That she's a crazy old witch and she was just seeing things.

Sheila walks in her room to see Willo awake and very aware. He starts to laugh and smile when he notices his Grams walking toward him. She reaches down to the beautiful boy and he starts to mumble like he's trying to talk. He squints his eyes like he's angry that he can't say what he wants but then just reaches for Grams and coos. Sheila picks Willo up and says. "I hope you got a good rest love, you're about to meet your daddy." With that Willo turns his head to the side and smiles. Sheila thinks to herself that he must be an old soul and that it's so fascinating that he responds like he knows what I'm saying. Sheila shrugs and walks with him to the living room. As Sheila walks in, Willo starts to fuss a little but stops when he sees a tall man. Rudy looks down at the baby and takes him from Sheila. "I'm your daddy. Abby, honey you did an amazing job. He's perfect." Rudy turns to his wife and notices that she is indifferent to this, almost like she's somebody completely different. Rudy looks into Willo's beautiful eyes. "Huh, they are hazel." Willo starts to giggle and holds onto Rudy's finger. Rudy is completely surprised. "It's like he knows I'm talking to him." Sheila smiles and says "That's because he can sense that he's apart of you. He feels safe with you." Rudy looks back over to Abby. "Do you want to hold him?" Abby looks at Rudy and then to Willo, "No, that's not my child." With that Abby stands up and walks away to her room. Rudy hands the baby back to Sheila. "Let me go talk to her." Sheila takes Willo as Rudy runs off after his wife.

He finally finds her sitting on the bed. When Rudy walks in and sits down, Abby looks at him and starts to cry. "Don't you see that's not our baby?" Rudy looks to her in confusion. "What do you mean Abby? He's perfect, you're perfect. We will get through this together. I'm always here for you." Abby smiles and hugs Rudy. "Okay." Abby lets go and says "I'm going to take a nap. Would you stay with me? Mom's got it so we have some time together." Rudy lays next to Abby, "You mean she's got him don't you?" Abby just closes her eyes.
