Kallon and Mayla walk to the back of the castle. "Are you ready?" Kallon asks. He picks her up and has her close her eyes. He walks a few feet more and sets her down. "When I say, I want you to open your eyes and turn around alright." Mayla nods. "Alright." Kallon takes a few steps back and picks up the small bow that he had been working on in his room at night. He had cut a smaller branch from Mother Tree and whittled it down and bent it into the bow. He tanned some leather to make the quiver for her arrows. Kallon had even taken the time to make the arrow heads out of some rocks he found by their secret waterfall. "Alright now Mayla. I want you to turn around and open your eyes." Mayla counted as she turned. "1, 2, 3. She opened her eyes and was starting at the archery range. He eyes were so wide. She was stuck standing there speechless. "I made you something else." Mayla just kept staring in front of her. Kallon walks around to stand in front of her and he sits on his knees. "Here. I made this for you." Mayla looked at Kallon and his gift. She jumped up and down and squealed. "I take it you like it?" Kallon says with a laugh. "I love it. There's just one thing. I don't know how to use it." Kallon smiles and ruffles her hair. "That's alright. Leaph and I will teach you. I remember that you said you wanted to train so you could protect Willo. Well, consider this the beginning of your training. When you master this, we will teach you other things." Mayla wraps her hands around Kallon's neck and squeezes him tight. "Mayla, you need to loosen your grip. I can't breath." Kallon gasps as he's tapping Mayla's arms. She looks at his face and lets go. Kallon takes a deep breath and coughs. "Since when are you this strong?" Mayla just shrugs. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm still the same me. Maybe you got softer." She says sticking out her tongue. Leaph walks up to the both of them. "I see she likes our gift. Hey, is that a new bow? No fair where did you get it?" Leaph asks. "Kallon made it for me. He made this too." As she show Leaph the bow and quiver. "He said that you both are going to train me so I can get stronger to protect Willo." Leaph nods. "That's what we plan on doing. Did he share anything else with you?" Mayla shakes her head. "Nope. Just this. Is there more?" Kallon and Leaph laugh. "Yes. There's a lot more. But how about we work on one thing at a time. Besides we have 18 years to train you." Leaph says shaking his head. Mayla smiles. "Is that a long time?" Leaph continues. "It's a long time in human years but for us, it will pass before you know it." Leaph walks over to Kallon. "Turambil and I have the feast all planned out. You know that old room in the bottom of the castle?" Kallon nods. "The one we used to sneak into all the time and would get into so much trouble." Leaph grins. "That's the one. I have a plan." Kallon looks puzzled. "What are you planning?" he asks. Leaph and Kallon start to talk about his plan while Mayla sits there looking at her bow. "Kallon. Did you you make the arrowheads?" Kallon stops. "Yes I did. I made them from stones that I found." Mayla smiles. "They are pretty." Leaph walks over to Mayla. "Want to help us plan?" Mayla nods in excitement. Leaph sits down on the ground and continues. "Well, that room down there is huge. I mean it could fit the entire elf community in it. I want to gather a crew to clean it out. There has to be new candles, new oil pans for more light. New tables and benches. I want the floor clean enough to eat off of. I want there to be a special long table just for us Clan Elders to sit and eat at." Kallon and Mayla nod their heads as they listen to Leaph talk. "There's a problem with some of that." Kallon says. "If I recall, there's a lot of junk down there. Not to mention the skeleton of the last dragon." Mayla looks at Kallon. "A dragon? There used to be dragons?" Leaph slaps his forehead. "Oh yeah. I forgot all about that. Well, we will just have to use that as the back drop for our table. Come on Kallon, I already have a bunch of people down there cleaning already." Leaph looks over with his best sad puppy dog face. "Alright. But I'm not going to cover for you when Turambil finds out and blows his lid." Kallon says with a smirk. The three get up and walk into the castle and take the stairs all the way down till they walk into the big room. It was almost as if the room spread out to go under the entire forset. It was massive. It had torches on the walls to help light the area. It had these pillars with marble bowls full of oil that were lit on fire to finish lighting. Mayla walked to the front of the dragon. "Wow." She says looking up at it. This dragon had to be bigger then Mother Tree. "How did it get down here?" Mayla asks. Kallon walks up behind her and places a hand on her shoulder. "Well, when elves and dragons lived together, they used to be close with one another. Elves would sometimes enter a contract with a dragon and it would become there mount. Kind of like how the elk and horses are for us now. There was a war and all of the dragons were killed off. This one was one of the last dragons left during that war. He came in here to help guard the castle. There's an opening down here that leads to a massive hallway for him to go in and out. Shortly before he died he spoke of a lost egg. The war was over and the dragon became so protective of the castle he spent his last years here and died. Nobody came down here after that. His body was left here and his bones hardened into rock. He is the protector of this castle and all who live in its domain. That's why you will see dragons on some of the ancient aromor pieces and weapons around the castle. I always wanted to take a tooth from him and have a dagger made with it." Mayla looks up at Kallon. She walks toward the dragon's remains and places her hand on its nose. "Thank you for protecting the castle." She steps back to Kallon. "That's the coolest thing ever." Kallon and Mayla laugh. They walk over to Leaph who is giving instructions to a group of elves. "Looks like you were right. Fine, I will help you get all this ready for the feast. When are we having that?" Kallon asks nudging Leaph. "About that. Tomorrow." Kallon slaps Leaph upside his head. "You idiot! We don't have enough time for that! We need to have the room cleaned, the kitchens need to be notified that they are making food for the entire realm." Kallon was pacing back and forth ranting and raving about everything. Leaph and Mayla stand there watching him as he starts to run around to move things and to help wash the floors. "Candles! We need more Candles!" Kallon said while running up the stairs. Mayla and Leaph start laughing. "Should I tell him that everything is already in order?" Mayla tries to talk but can't because she's laughing to hard. "No, I think it will get done if he runs around and panic helps like this." She finally manages to get out between laughs.
