Turambil never left the great hall. He has been walking around the room talking softly to Willo. "You really are an amazing being. You haven't fussed one bit except with one of the finger pokes and the first fine cut. I truly am in awe of you." Willo just lays in Turambil's arms looking up at his face. Willo turns his head to look out the window. Turambil walks over to it and holds Willo up so he can look out. "Do you see something interesting out there little one?" Willo gazes out of the window and his eyes settle on The Mother Tree. Turambil looks at Willo to notice his eyes have a mild glow to them and notices that he is looking at Mother Tree. "I see now. You know that this tree not only brings and sustains life, but she is life. It's been centuries since she has looked this healthy." Willo just stares at the tree while Turambil speaks. "What am I doing? I don't think you understand a thing I am talking about." Turambil turns away from the tree and Willo starts to fuss and reach out in the direction of the window. Turambil looks at Willo and wipes away his tears. He then turns back around so Willo can watch the tree. Willo calms down and looks up to Turambil. "Do you want me to talk some more?" Willo laughs. "I will take that as a yes then." Turambil says with a smile. "Now where was I? Oh yes, the past centuries she has been dying, the forest has been dying. The animals were leaving and the waters drying up. Some of the elves cloaked themselves and went to the human realm where you came from. It has been hard, truly hard. Then one day the most unexpected thing happened. There was static in the air like one would feel before lightning strikes. There was a surge of power and Mother Tree started to look healthy again. She grew more leaves and some new roots. Nobody knew what this meant but we all knew it couldn't be a bad thing. She was healing and with her health getting better so was the forest. It was incredible, even some of the smaller animals and birds were coming back." As Turambil speaks to Willo, Arywn walks in. "You're so good with him." she says to Turambil. Arywn walks up next to Turambil and Willo. "It's like he understands everything you are saying." Arywn says with a smile. "What makes you think he doesn't understand any of this? We don't know how far his power goes. He could understand everything that we have all said and done, or maybe he knows nothing." Turambil says looking to Arwyn. "In that case, when Mother Tree was getting better, I had dreams. I saw a boy that would be born, and with him would come life." Arywn looks down to Willo. "May I, Turambil?" Turambil looks to Arywn and squints his eyes at her in thought. "Of course. I don't see why I must be the one to hold him all the time." he says in a laugh. Truambil hands Willo over to Arwyn. As soon as she gets him in her arms Willo reaches up and grabs a lock of her hair and smiles. Arywn continues. "I saw a young girl walking toward Mother Tree, then I saw a woman setting a child down at Mother Tree's roots and finally I saw an older woman cautiously walking toward the babe and tree. The strange thing with all of this is that there was a black wolf that would come out from behind Mother tree and care for the babe as if it was their own. I went to Turambil with all of this and then saw him speak to the older woman." Arywn continues while Willo plays with her hair and coos. "I took it upon myself to speak with the older woman. The wolf trusted her so I thought I would give it a shot. She loves you very much, the older woman but you wont see her till the time is right." Turambil continues. Before he could get Willo back, an hour has passed and all the Elders return to witness the rest of the tests and trials. The same elves as before come in and fill the small bowls with the same material as the larger bowles before them. All the Elders walk down the steps to stand in front of the table with their backs facing their seats.
Arywn and Turambil turn and walk back to the table themselves with Arywn still holding Willo. She walks up to the first bowl. "This bowl contains water as you all can see. We will put a couple drops on his forehead, we will place his hands in the bowl and then his feet." Arwyn continues. "How do you know any of this will work?" Idril said with a scowl. "Is he not just a mere babe. He can't use magic. That wont happen till he's at least 10 years of age. He's what? A couple days old if that." Turambil looks to Idril. "That's a lot of talk for someone who seems to not fear anything. If he is just a mere babe, then why are you so worried? It's not like he can snap your life away with his little fingers. Why are you making such a big deal?" Idril looks at Turambil with hate in his eyes. "Maybe we should let Mother Tree die. It's been so long since we've had the proper ruling of any royal. Maybe it's time to move on and join our brothers and sisters in the human realm." The rest of the elders look to Idril in shock. "We don't belong with them. This is our world. This is our home." Said Leaph. "Let Mother Tree die? How could you say such a thing?" Speaks Morthil. Turambil raises both hands in the air. "Silence. The tests and trials will continue. Mother Tree is getting better and it has to do with this young one. We will not go to the human realm unless need be and for those who have already left, I'm sure they can sense what is happening and they will return. Now, everyone quiet so we can get this finished up.
Like before, Arywn starts with the first bowl filled with water. She gets some in her hand and lets a few drops fall onto Willo's head. Nothing happens. She places his hands in the water. Still nothing happens. "Looks like he can't control water after all." Idri says with a proud look on his face. Arywn places Willo's feet in the water and waits a couple minutes. As she lifts him up the water is trailing along in the air right behind his feet. The smile on Idri's face falls and he glares at Willo. Next is the bowl of earth. Arwyn starts with his feet this time and not a thing happens. She pulls his feet out and places his hands in the dirt. As Willo moves his hands around everyone watches on in anticipation. He starts to babble and laugh. The dirt slowly grows fresh grass and some flowers just like when his blood touched it. Arwyn gasps and Turambil looks down to Willo with great pride in his eyes. He reaches out for Willo and Arywn hands him back over carefully. Turambil with pride says, "Now is the time for air." He grabs a feather in his hand and runs it across Willo's forehead. As he smiles, Willo begins to kick his feet like it tickled him. The feathers rise in the air and float all around. Some of the spinning and others flipping. "Okay, how do we know that he controls air? It could be just the feathers that someone here is moving." Idril speaks with hate dripping form his words. Turambil says "It's simple. Remember back when we cut his palm to drop some blood on the feathers? There was a bolt of lightning. Was there not? Did the feathers not spin around like there was a small tornado?" Idril looks to his dark elf companion Gardre. "There was." Spoke Grade. She continued. "When he cried, it began to rain which leads me to think he controls water. But then when we calmed down, it stopped raining and the sun began to shine. I believe I speak for all the Elders when I say that not only can he control all elements, but his emotions are controlling the weather." All the Elders nod their heads in agreement. Except Idril. "How can you go along with this facade? None of this is real. Just a ruse to make us think the royals have returned and that we all need to fall in line. Well, I don't believe it. None of you should. I'm done with the so called tests and trials. I'm done listening to Turambil who thinks he's better then us all. How do you know it's not him doing all of this?" In his anger and ranting Idril pulls a knife from his sleeve and runs around the table toward Truambil and Willo. In an instant, everyone was shocked. Idril raised his blade to stab Willo. Turambil moves his arm to protect the baby. Idril's knife cuts down his arm and nicks Willo's face right below his eye.
Willo's eyes begin to glow brighter and brighter. Just like a shock wave, power emits from him and blows out. This makes everyone step back a few steps. The ground begins to shake and it begins to storm. There's hail and bright lightning. Thunder shaking everything. The marble floor begins to crack and come apart while some of the pillars shake and fall over. Idril raises his blade once more. "This time, I won't miss!" Willo looks to Idril and continues to cry. Right before the blade comes down for the second time, Idril erupts in beautiful blue flames. Idril begins to scream and thrass around. He falls to the floor begging for help but all the Elders stand and watch with fear not only in their eyes, but mirrored on their faces. Turambil starts to calm Willo and holds him tight. "There is nothing to fear young one. I won't allow anything more to happen to you." Willo calms down. The lightning leaves and the shaking halts. Finally the fire goes out on it's own and there lays a charbroiled Idril. "He had so much hate in him." Arywn says. "Yes, and now he has nothing. He is nothing." Turambil replys. "With the use of fire, I do believe we all can agree that this is the one we have all been awaiting."
